It's been really, really dry up here in NorCal the last 5 years. We just broke a historic drought earlier this year, but have been really dry since. During the fires of '15, the ash blew in from about 200 miles north of here. Was just awful. And a god damned shame the beauty of the northern woods are burning when there is a perfectly good wasteland that should burn to the ground over the Grapevine in SoCal.

These fires move with the quickness. Since I've relocated to the O.C. I've seen more fires than when I was staying in the concrete laden city of Long Beach. Crackhouses catching on fire were about all we got there.

Oh man, it's bad over here. Apparently this area was ground zero for meth in the 90s. Anyone who owns a late 80s to early 00s Honda Accord or Civic has had it stolen by the tweeks here. They get so audacious, I've busted one literally in the act of stealing 5 gallon water jugs off my front porch. Moved out to the sticks and it's MUCH different for the better.

I'm generally passive with most hoods since everyone's a thug here except if immediate danger or if they're a tweek. I'm very, very confident tweek's just don't carry guns. If they get access to a gun, it's sold in minutes.

And man, the smell of burning is getting really awful here right now... That is par for the course. A few years after high school, one of my friends was a frequent speed user and he was insane. One weekend, he took his Acura Integra apart. Like literally on a binge took it apart and in the process of the weekend, he put the car back together. I think at that point his family got him the help. He ended up serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now a family man, it was crazy at how desperate he was to get a quick score to score.

Always good to hear when someone can kick the sickness. Congrats to him.
And yeah, it's getting bad. My baby's daycare just called my wife saying he's starting to wheeze from it a bit, so we put the email into the Doc right now.
They had some awful fires in Boise a month ago and we had to send 3/4 of our staff home from chest pains, headaches and nausea caused by the shit air quality.

Been to Cali.........wasnt impressed enough to want to leave Texas for it. People were very stand offish and some down right rude. To many damned gang bangers, I thought Texas had a lot. Everything is crazy expensive as well. Gas prices are through the roof. You can buy 2 or 3 homes of equal quality in Texas for the price of one in California. Also, that house will be old as hell and in need of repair. The weather is nice, but to afraid of earthquakes, and fires to relocate to that bish.

Real surprised that with all the extreme environmentalists that "force" Gov. Brown to send all the rain water to the ocean, and further perpetuating the lack of water in the state, that none of that crowd has said 1 iota about the friggin smog issue in that cesspool.
