wut :lol

Kerr was fortunate enough to play with Michael Jordan. And over the last couple of seasons, the head coach has found himself comparing Curry's impact to Jordan's.

On Wednesday, Kerr made a pretty strong declaration.

"Even Michael Jordan -- people had the Jordan rules -- but nothing has ever been as dramatic as what I've seen from opponents' defensive schemes as how they have to deal with Steph."

Coaches tend to exaggerate their player's talents just like how Phil would say Kobe was a good as MJ up until he quit coaching.

I don't think he's comparing Steph to Mike. He's comparing defensive schemes. Teams struggle to deal with Curry. This is known. Same happened with Shaq. You get an enigma like that and the game changes.

Besides, not every team has a walk on small white point guard to shut Steph down.

Patrick Beverly and Delladova are trandescent defensive players then.

ESPN did something a while back on the gravity of Steph and like someone mentioned it was akin to the attention Shaq drew in his prime. Difference is because Steph is a perimeter player you cant just pack the paint and force a kickout ... and now that Durant has been added to Klay their spacing is unfair, really ...
Durant is the better player.
But Steph changed the current style of play in the NBA more than most great players have in recent NBA history.
We will see how long that impact lasts ...

Yet both of their teams lost to him. So that's not really a great defensive scheme.

True. Perhaps Irving is the trandesent defensive player then.

I'd take Donkey Kong's defense over Wardell's any day, tbh.
