View Full Version : Trump is a "soulless coward": Popovich

RandomGuy
10-17-2017, 08:53 AM
“I’ve been amazed and disappointed by so much of what this president had said, and his approach to running this country, which seems to be one of just a never-ending divisiveness,” Popovich told Zirin. “But his comments today about those who have lost loved ones in times of war and his lies that previous presidents Obama and Bush never contacted their families are so beyond the pale, I almost don’t have the words.”

Popovich also spoke of his contempt for Trump’s inner circle. “This man in the Oval Office is a soulless coward who thinks that he can only become large by belittling others. This has of course been a common practice of his, but to do it in this manner– and to lie about how previous presidents responded to the deaths of soldiers – is as low as it gets,” Popovich added.

Like at this point, what is Pop even doing?

Being as outspoken and plain as he always is.

Pop, being well read and versed on foreign policy is probably as aghast as I am at the bumbling incompetence of the current administration.

Trump is unraveling US soft power that took almost a century to build. That will have consequences, not the least of which is that no one will want to cut deals with the US.

As the Iranians rightfully pointed out, US presidents have always felt duty-bound to go along with what their predecessors have negotiated, so you could generally count on being able to cut a deal and have that deal honored.

Take that away, and no one wants to talk to the US. What is the other parties' motivation?

"U.S. First" is "U.S. alone".

It forces people to find alternatives to systems that the US has built and benefits from. That is the most frustrating part of the whole thing. Trump is too fucking stupid to understand how this shit works. Rank, willful ignorance.

We will see a world with the Europeans and the Chinese setting the rules. That will benefit those two larger economies more than it will our smaller one.

So Popovich suddenly isn't supposed to speak his mind? What happened to the anti-PC crowd? Suddenly everyone is supposed to fall in line behind this fool Trump who's been stoking division in this country with his "patriotic purity" test the last few weeks? Last week he's sitting and joking around with his pet monkey shill Sean Hannity on a military base while the "Retreat" bugle call is playing thinking it's being played for him or Sean's ratings. He follows that up this week ignoring fallen Green Berets and when he's called out on it he stammers like a child tries to do what he does best...project his faults onto someone else to avert the blame. The "but but but Obama" obsession is real with this dude and it's old. Talk about "rent free" :lol The thing is Obama has nothing to do with an idiot President that can pick fights with the NFL, Puerto Rico, ESPN reporters, and Bob Corker on Twitter but can't be bothered to even mention the Green Berets who died or contact their families. Obama has nothing to do with Trump playing golf with Lindsey Graham while the 4th Green Beret is being flown into Dover. That's all on him. Like many of his mental midget hypocrite followers Trump wraps himself in the flag when it's convenient. He'll talk the talk but trips all over himself when it comes to walking the walk.

There's nothing wrong with the comparison. Just because you think it's only about comparing what job each had doesn't mean that's how politics works. Democrats didn't spend so much effort trying to keep wildly unpopular Dubya the face of the party for no reason, even though he was no longer relevant. Difference is Dubya had the good sense to slink away into private life. Yeah we'll keep making Hillary the face of the Democratic party and she's all to happy to try and keep doing it herself. :lol Hillary is not the face of the Democratic Party. Obama represents the party better than she does and the only thing that prevented him from shoving his big black dong in trump’s ass electorally was the US constitution. You and I both know that to be fact.

The comparison was absolute shit because W affected policy for 8 years. It’s totally legitimate for a liberal to complain about the effects of W’s presidency well into Obama’s presidency. It’s completely illegitimate to compare a losing candidate like Clinton with the shit show occurring that is Donald.

"46% of Americans think the Media is inventing stories about Trump & his Administration." @FoxNews It is actually much worse than this!

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/calm-down-about-those-virginia-polls-folks/

Trump’s job approval rating is 38 percent; his disapproval rating is 55.8 percent. Those are about the same as they were last week.

Democrats are ahead of Republicans 48.1 percent to 37.6 percent on the generic congressional ballot. That’s a wider advantage than Democrats held last week, when they were ahead 46.6 percent to 39.0 percent.

----------------------------------------------------

I have personally handed registration cards to about 5 Democratic voters in the two block-walking events that I have done. Texas Democrats are gearing up in ways that I have never seen happen.

Trump party in the state of Texas is still better organized, but we are shamelessly stealing their playbook. :D
