Of course not. Aldridge is currently the team's best player in Kawhi's absence. :lol Would you really want him benched?

No, I'm just pointing out how weird and out of place it was to see that from a Spurs player...even Parker wouldn't do that.

I am not a homer of any players This isn't about me. It's about how a played played.
It's a subjective opinion, but he was really bad in the 4th Q, making bad passes and clanking shots

No, but it historically diminishes a player's athleticism and agility. He was moving around well though and all indications are that his rehab was state of the art.

Yeah, I know about how it harms your athleticism. But as you say Rudy's rehab was state of the art. Since he's moving well, there's a lot of hope. :toast

But then we would have 2 quad injuries tbh.

Would Zaza injure both of them in the same game?

Are Achilles re-tears common? I have no idea.
not really. Nique tore his in his early 30s with Atlanta and still was athletic in his late 30s with us

Murray flashed it again. Anderson and Green were unsung heroes. Yeah, folks remember Danny's wild lay-up, but that was a single play, and his night's work was very good. Anderson, too, made several big plays down the stretch - especially on the boards. Rudy was outstanding in his debut. Hopefully Patty played his worst game of the season and got it out of his system. And hopefully Manu doesn't run out of gas.

Green launched a three when he was one on four that was pretty boneheaded.

The trolls will highlight Danny's blown layup and Kyle's shot blocked but they made big plays in the 4th Q. Kyle's rebounding was very much needed. I can't abide Pau being a 7 footer with incredible length not doing work on the boards. Murray had the best game I have seen from him bc it wasn't just the scoring, he was a lot more in control of what he was doing than I have ever seen him, and he was very solid on defense (sans the fouls)... he really did flash it.

Thanks. I think if Rudy's gotten the athleticism back (small sample size) then this may be a major steal, especially if he's stays within the system.

Agree that was a bad decision, he wasn't open like he was in a similar shot he took in the first half.

And Zaza would stay in the game while Duncan gets ejected for laughing off the bench...

Gay looked really good. Man he is bigger and stronger then I remember.

Murray was playing awesome. Scores to get us out of a short slump and gets benched. WTF Pop.

Even Anderson showed some nice moves.

Pau can not come in to close. Or in at all.

Can’t wait until Kawhi and Leonard come back.

Do you imagine if we had a Kawhi and, on top of that, a Leonard? NBA=fucked.

I don't think the sample size needs to be big to say he's looking like an athlete again, the eye test proved that to be true. More important that he continues to look that way and stays heathy.

The lack of transparency with these injuries should be addressed by the NBA.

The spurs are way too vague and they have always been.

It's not a good look for the NBA.

On unrelated news (but what the Hell, I'll put it here. :lol) Simmons had 12 points in his debut in the Orlando victory (though he was -10, by far the worst for the magic). Still, not bad.

Yeah I think it is absolutely a steal. He feels he has a lot to prove after playing on teams like the Kings where he wasn't exactly happy. I think PATFO knew what they were getting with Rudy Gay. Can't wait to see him play with Kawhi. Those two will be able to switch on teams like GSW and provide a lot of length. Also Gay is a killer Kawhi backup.

Called the score and missed by a point! Not bad! Could only watch parts of the game while catching up with a friend. For a Kawhi-less group, they looked solid overall. At times, I saw some playground ball (eyes rolled) but solid win against a formidable opponent :toast

Was most impressed with Rudy. His ability to be decisive and finish around the rim is still there despite just coming back from that horrible injury. It's really nice to have somebody who is a sure thing near the hoop and very decisive on the break.

Rocalcio
10-19-2017, 02:30 AM
He did but he shouldn't start over Gay, tbh.

I don't know, it's also good to have him coming off the bench to be our main offensive player of the second unit. And he said he was ok with that. Anyway, if he plays well I doubt he'll remain a substitute.

So true... I don't know what these guys are doing here, looks like they don't like any player of the team.

It's all about staying healthy for Rudy Gay, I'm very impressed with him so far. If he continues on this path he might be what turns Spurs off-season from one of the worst to one of the better ones. Hopefully the latter, only time will tell

I can accept KA as a rotation player when he's performing. I don't want to see him getting starts even if Kawhi is out. We have better talent than that.

The baseline hammer play was Diaw-esque whom I consider one of the best passers I've ever seen. He also had another nice bail out pass into the corner after driving to the rim. Can't say I can recall him being a creative passer but he appears to have some tricks.
