Give him every chance, he'll take it.

I don't get it. Thought Joff mostly sucked.

First game though.

He looked like diaw for a bit. Like getting his shot off without jumping. :lol

I agree. Hopefully it was just an off game and the preseason wasn't a mirage.

This a sarcastic thread?

I don’t think he passed once when the ball touched his hands tonight to show the world those skills unfortunately

Had 1 assist, a couple good hockey assists and a nutmeg to Manu that, even though ended up on a TO, showed an inventive and boldness rarely seen on bigmen.

His only knock is his penchant for drinking poisonous wine from dwarves, tbh.

I stand corrected good sir!

I liked him. Not a great game but clearly a cut above a journeyman bench guy.

Based on what I've seen from him, his bb iq is noticeably better than Dedmon's but not quite David Lee level, either.

I actually kept thinking about what one of the french fans/posters on this site said a few days ago (I think it was Brazil), and that was that he thought his ceiling is nothing more than an end of the rotation player (I assume he meant a player that is in the regular rotation, but at the tail end of it).

Pop seems more impressed with him than Bertans, that's for sure.

Best rebounder on the team, tbh. Great passes that shooters missed, like the Pau corner 3. Had good looks that didn't go in tonight but were automatic in the preseason

Bertans can't rebound worth a fuck. That really matters.

I thought he got to good spots but just couldn't get a friendly bounce. Hopefully that isn't his typical result because if he can finish some of those plays, he will be valuable. That nutmeg was nice.

He missed shots and his rim protection wasn't that good, but I thought the best thing he did was set really good screens that freed Manu Ginobili to make plays at the rim.

If you're not good at some things, but great at what you are good at!!

He reminds me a bit of Tom Boerwinkle.

I saw one play where he passed and it ended up being one of our best possessions. Other than that he just stalled on offense. Good energy though on the glass.

Saw what must have been his second stretch in the 3rd quarter or so.
He looked good.
Gasol was looking like a mummy and DLeague Danny was being DLeague.

Lauvergne worked some good shit with other Spurs and had a couple nice muscle rebounds.

Has the ability to rebound and finish around the rim. Solid passer as well.

He didn't have his best game with us (preseason he looked better) but I credit that to Minnesota's defense I think they played well on that end. Joffrey (still can't spell his last name) was able to get his little hook over Dieng with relative ease so that's always a good sign.

He shot was off but he can get those same looks he'll hit most of them.

His shot wasn't falling last night, but that will come and go. He does a lot of other little things that go unnoticed, and most importantly, he's not shy about doing it.

Can't fault the effort, just needs to execute better. He has a lot of time to figure it out.

I liked how he played and this was a game which I feel he shot like 25% field so just imagine when he starts making shots

I think the Spurs' bench took a step backward by losing Lee...but Lauvergne has impressed. I'm hopeful he continues to grow into his role...a nice surprise I think.
