4th qtr Spurs-Raptors.

Ibaka trying to muscle LMA around before, during and after the shot made by Spurs. Then moves up close to LMA and starts talking shit to him.
LMA not having any of it, as Ibaka tried to get in his face and talk tough, LMA gave him a healthy shove which sent him reeling backwards.

Just a short while later LMA gets the ball out on the wing, bangs Ibaka towards the hoop and does a nice short muscle banker for the And 1 as Ibaka whines to the ref.

Was this the best thing that could happen to LMA in a while?
I say yes.
Now as to how long of an effect it has on LMA being assertive -or not, time will tell. But it was great for that game in closing time.

Hell yeah. Loved it. Mainly because he backed it up with his play. About two possessions after the shove, he faked Ibaka into expecting a fadeaway, spun to the baseline and scored + the foul, while Ibaka fell to the ground like a bitch. :lol He was thoroughly dominated by Aldridge both mentally and physically.

And right before that, Danny Green had two brilliant plays in a row. He stripped Derozan on a drive, deflecting it off his leg and causing a turnover. Then right after that, he dribbled into the lane, posted up Lowry, and made a hook shot over him. :lol When has he ever done that shit?

Precisely.
We wish he had the motivation of a Timmy Dunks or Kawhi on the regular, but he doesn't.
So if skirmishes like this are going to get him going, fine lets have more of them.
Thanks Ibaka.
Now if Donkey Gaymond Green and some other fake toughs can get into it with LMA.

Two beats going at it , nothing to see here. Aldridge remains the softest big in the league.9
