ive been a huge believer in Gay and Kawhi starting together...and with our recent struggles, i think it is time to get off to stronger starts, and have the bench as they should be...Kyle isnt a good fit with the starting unit...he is a non shooter, and he cant drive well enough to create for others...with gay out there, we have a more dynamic offense, and better defense (kyles defense is seriously overrated...if you get a step past him...which is very easy to do...he resorts to reaching around and missing 90% of the time)...when kawhi comes back, gay should still be there and have kawhi replace danny (who has fallen back down to earth) for gasol (who is freaking horrible) ...that way we either play with tremendous size, which seems to bother Golden state, or play faster (with gay at the 4), which would be great for murray because he has 2 other guys who can dribble on the break and either create for him, or he can lob to in Gay and Klaw...Kyle is too slow for a fast break, and he DEFINITELY cant finish a break...

on offense we can have 3 different post options, and murray being a cutter until he gets a jumper...the offense will be much better with gay starting...and the bench can have gasol or kyle posting up...and parker running the show longside ginobili like they did in the old days (and some of our championship runs)...parker running alongside either green, BP3, (both splitting minutes with manu so he can pace himself) on the bench would be a pretty good combo...add in Joff for some passing and energy, our bench will be decent...as i keep saying, golden state starts the best player at each position...they dont bring KD off the bench for a scoring punch...they punch you in the face from the beginning, and leave it up to YOU to make the adjustments to come back...

The thing is, I wanted Rudy to take it easy the first two months of the season and play limited minutes (around 25 per game) off the bench due to the injury he's coming back from.

You gotta remember the injury he's coming off of. I don't want to push him too hard these first 2-3 months of the season.

Danny isn't getting replaced so get over that thought. Best case for you is Gay starting at pf. Which is also unlikely because then lma would really start bitching about touches.

Right now I'm more worried about him closing games. Once he is back to being able/allowed to play 30 mpg I would liked to see him get a shot at starting games (but only as a PF).

Cannot start RG, if we'd do that we would not have a competitive bench that can score or create their owns shots.

It's time for Pop to switch things a bit. 3 losses in a row.

Hopefully Kawhi and Tony are back soon. By themselves they would fix up a lot that is going on, but in the meantime Pop may have to address current problems to get guys to play better. Maybe benching Kyle would help. Most of his regular playing time would have come off the bench anyways, time to start getting him some playing time there.
Not sure if Rudy should start or Brandon Paul, who has played really well.

The starters will still have other problems, but at least shooting and some scoring won't be a part of it. Kyle ended up shooting a 3 last game when they dared him. He has to take IMO at least 2 or 3 threes per game playing with Dijon who can't shoot. They hardly ever pass to him in the corner, but he also hasn't showed teammates he's going to confidently take those shots when he has them.. so benching Kyle won't be the worst thing to remind him that he has to score some too.

He's coming off a major injury. You ease him into the season. He is averaging minutes in the range I predicted prior to the start of the season.

His minutes should increase in late December or early january.

I agree for now. Team is understaffed, Patty isn't shooting well, Manu hopefully plays better but he has streaked to poor shooting as well, they don't have a paint presence without Joff also injured, etc. for now the bench needs him. we shall see.

You could post this in every one of OP's threads.

Obviously. Fathead is useless out there on both sides, and any faggot who has a problem with that can debate their obese mommas.

Starting Gasol and Fathead's snail asses in a league with athletes lmfao :lol...

it's the minutes that are relevant to injuries...not if he comes off the bench...he just needs to play with the starters...matter of fact, that should take less stress on him than to have to carry the bench

our starting 5 can barely do that though...since last year our starting 5 have been getting off to slow starts, and have to fight back into games...gasol can be a creator off the bench for both himself and others...you add in BP3 to that mix with increased minutes..manu AND parker...we will have a strong bench

LMA, Gay, Kawhi, Green, Murray should be the starting 5. Versatile, long, athletic and a good blend of offense, defense, and shooting.

Starting Gasol and Anderson in this day and age, wtf pop ... :monkey
