From Champions in 2011 to a laughable league doormat in 2017, the Mavs organisation implosion has gone completely under the radar..Really about time Cuban takes some heat just like the Dolan, Buss, Sarver of the worlds for this grim reality...

Dirk should retire after the season and I'm not sure Carlisle is the right coach for a long rebuild with young guys..Trade Wes Mathews and get rid of the rest dead-weight and embrace tanking for the next few seasons until you hit a home run in the draft. No way around it..

seriously, now's the perfect time to suck. What else are we supposed to do? Scratch & claw our way and give blood, sweat, tear, etc to be the #8 seed? If you're not Golden State and you're not tanking the next few years, you're doing it wrong.

Carlisle is just about the worst coach possible for a rebuild. He’s a genius coach whose skills are wasted here. He’s the perfect “take underacheiving veterans and maximize their potential” style coach, and if LeBron had Carlisle in Cleveland the last 3 years, the Cavs probably would have 3-peated. But Rick’s intolerance for mistakes and unwillingness to develop young talent makes him a terrible fit for this Mavs team.

But let’s be real, this rebuild will fail, and the next one, and the next one. It will keep failing until Mark Cuban dies, because he’s a shitty owner who fell assbackwards into a team with a budding superstar in a weak era of the NBA, who managed to take a 12 year window and only get 1 ring.

anyway, i'm not sure what do dallas fans have to complain, they drafted well, got some young players in free agency and are building a team instead of a bunch of brainless monkeyballers.. they also made a great call not to extend nerlens noel who's on his way out of the league, now that he's been exposed.

stone hands, bad basketball iq, foul prone, injury prone, undersized, thinks he's better than he is. His impact on D is strictly theoretical and about half the centers in the league could do better than him given the minutes.

As shitty as Noel has been, he still should be getting 25+ minutes a night. Mejri’s ceiling is still, at best, a capable situational backup. Dallas needs to know definitively what Nerlens is capable of. It would be typical Mavericks/Carlisle for Noel to rot on the bench all year, then go somewhere else and put up 15/10 a night.

I feel like the Mavs have always been pretty patchwork. Even the 2011 team was patchwork. They just made all the right moves at the right time. The moves have been bad lately instead. It felt like this organization was on the way down about the time they got saddled with Chandler and D Jordan bitched them. Even though I thought the Jordan signing would be bad, it just seemed like a bad omen and a signal to others in the league that the Mavs could be tread upon.
