But obviously this already had been somewhat an issue..then Kawhi hurts the ankle. And if I'm not mistaken it's the opposite leg. His leg with the bad quad tendon over compensated for the hurt ankle due that leg being weak..and it made the minor issue major.

What would off-court stuff be? That's pretty far fetched to think it would be anything off-court. Unless he's told the Spurs he hates the roster and moves they made and wants a trade, I don't know what off-court issues would be stopping him from playing.

I don't believe so. Kawhi is such a great player and such a perfect fit in SA in terms of personality that I can't imagine the Spurs trading him straight up for anyone, and probably not even for a king's ransom from another team.
