NBA should just not count heaves in stats unless they go down (scorer’s discretion ... would just be “end of quarter” and no shot). You’d see players shoot them a lot more.

shouldnt be the NBA's job to coddle the players imo... but i can see an issue if a player has a contract incentive to shoot a particular %

I know it’s stupid, but if the league wants more excitement ... they’ll get it with this. Players are selfish and care about stats.

Good point too on incentive contracts like Murray’s based on TS%
