Did find it odd he couldn't find a team this season. He was good for us. Was his injury that bad?

Anyway, thanks for a great season.

That was weird, he played very well last season and didn't seem to get any interest

Seems he could still play if he really wanted to, but hey congrats on having a solid career! I was always a fan back in his Knicks days he was a good Spur

Thanks for the memories D Lee! You should’ve found a way to the Spurs earlier in your career.

Maybe he didn't want to play for minimum? Lee gave the team a lot of quality minutes last season and I was hoping to see him back. Oh well, he can enjoy retirement with all those fat stacks he earned over his twelve year career.

I think he got the room exception last year, like $2.5M, but opted out of year two. Not sure who gave him that advice, but it was a bum steer.

She must be about 6 feet tall. Probably looks much different next to normal-sized humans.

Was always a fan of this guy, and was glad to see him in silver and black for a short stint. Wish he would've come back for another season, but something must have been going on that didn't make the media. Not sure if it was the injury, or if DLee just felt like it was time to call it quits...maybe a little of both. At least he won't end up going to another contender this way...I like to believe he would've come back if he wanted to keep playing.

Thanks for a great season, David Lee! Enjoy retirement!

I hope that this is a formality and he gives it a shot in a training camp next season. I'm not a huge fan; I just think he can still play.

Yeah I think it was both. Plus he got a ring with the Warriors already.

He recently got engaged and he was at a veterans minimum. Really easy to reevaluate priorities once the injury forced him to rehab, his body's been breaking down each season.

Dude was such a spark for us, and we're still missing that guy to bring that. Joff shows flashes, but Lee was on another level. He fit in seamlessly with our guys, and was a real work horse in the paint.

Astute observation skills there. Wouldn't expect anything less from a poster of your caliber.

Wish he came to the Spurs earlier tbh. He’s a real tough guy, unlike that fake tough David West bitch.

Yeah, I wanted him back, but unfortunately his body seems to keep breaking down, and a lot of the time he's not fully healthy in the playoffs. I love the guy, but it doesn't seem you can rely on him in the playoffs.

One of my favorite players growing up tbh. Was really glad to see him rock the Silver & Black, if only for one season. Enjoy retirement 10.

Sad. That injury must've been more serious than was let on. At the very least, he could've been better than Lauvergne is for us now.

liked him more than d west, k Thomas, mcdyess, those types over the years. Did a great job for the Spurs. His body was done I guess.

In addition to his playing well for the Spurs down in the paint, the guy was a tremendous guy in the locker room and on the floor as a happy warrior. He loved to play, loved to watch other guys play as well. Maybe the Spurs could get him back if we need help with the bigs. I don't know about you, but I'd find it hard to turn down another year at 2.5 million or 1 million to play a game I love.

One of the hardest working players and great bball IQ. Spurs could still use him if he decided to come back.

Seemed like a great guy. He played to the top of his abilities.
His inability to shoot hurts in today's NBA.
Couldn't have expected more than he gave the Spurs.

Tbh... if Lauvergne or Pau get hurt (prior to the playoff roster eligible date) hope he is on PATFO's speed dial.
