He was muuuuch harder on TP than he has been thus far on Murray. There was older quote from Manu where he said Pop knows who to yell at a lot and who not to. So TP, or Green or whoever he was obviously very hard on. Others he pulls quickly, and some both.

The thing is though these Celtics are extremely young; they won't be as prone to take games off as an older team like the Heatles/Dubs/Spurs would be. Plus they have Brad Stevens who seems to have no problems motivating them. Poor shooting nights also don't hurt them much since they rely on elite D to win.

Far from true... Murray was a steady hand and our best times were when he was in... When they brought in Mills, the hawks usually went on runs... Murray plays good defense, and opposing point guards usually don't make a point of going at him since they won't find much success... With mills in, they take advantage...

They get more aggressive and they get more comfortable! But u look to bench them after every mistake, the next time they play, they will just go through the motions so they don't get pulled... Yea.. he's legend. In the past that layup at the end would have been a dunk I am guessing. Glad to see him play this well. He's still very important to the team and I think his mental toughness can help a team that is developing right now as a younger team. (Spurs still are a veteran team, featuring their old dudes, but due to injuries, now more than at any time recently I think, are increasingly relying on their youth). Manu is resilient... after that bad start against OKC he pulled it together the rest of that same game and showed up here. Glad to see, and a lot to learn from.
