The Rebels lost to Arkansas' backup QB and almost choked this game away so I wouldn't say that.

There's no way Alabama should've recovered that fumble. I agree with the announcers that Stidham should've fell on the ball instead of trying to pick it up. At least you got 3 point coming. Maybe.

Auburn outright beating them.

I heard Clay Travis say a few weeks back that Georgia looks like a weaker version of Alabama. It looks like Auburn is out there, besting Alabama, Alabama style.

Big 12 title game is the dumbest idea that conference has done yet.

When Ohio St. got in last year by not even having to play in a conference championship, the flaws of the current format were exposed. By losing their division, they got to skip a game...

But yep, agreed.

The best thing about the Big 12 is having to play the entire conference. The SEC allowing a possibility of 4 patsies on that schedule is also ridiculous.

The best thing about the Big 12 is having to play the entire conference.

Kinda hard to play "the entire conference" when there are more teams in your conference than games in the season. I'm pretty good at math...yet I can't figure out how you're gonna make playing 13 different teams in 12 weeks happen. The ACC, Big 10, and SEC can't do that kind of schedule. It's mathematically impossible.

:lol 10 team conferences
:lol Acting like Kansas and Baylor are not "cupcakes"

Kansas won 1 game this year against something called "Southeast Missouri State". Baylor also won 1 game this year. It was against Kansas. (They played each other...someone had to win) With losses coming at the hands of Liberty and UTSA. What does it say when someone like FkLA sees Baylor on the schedule and knows his team has a legitimate shot to win? And win they did. Kansas and Baylor would have a hard time in Conference USA. The Roadrunners beat Baylor and went 3-4 in Conference USA. Baylor and Kansas are not good football teams. Just because they're in a P5 conference doesn't automatically make them legit. Would you be willing to bet every dollar you have on Kansas beating North Texas on a neutral field? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Every P5 conference plays "cupcakes". Every single one. The Big 12 isn't immune to that disease. They play them too. Get off your high horse acting like every single opponent the Big 12 plays is some outstanding football school. They're not.

If they're gonna chose a 1 loss Ohio State over a 2 loss Pennsylvania State last season it's only fair that a 1 loss Alabama gets in over a 2 loss Ohio State.

If they're gonna chose a 1 loss Ohio State over a 2 loss Pennsylvania State last season it's only fair that a 1 loss Alabama gets in over a 2 loss Ohio State.

Absolutely agree.

But looking at 5 vs. 6 this year...

So Penn St. finishes behind Ohio St. Last year because Penn St. has two loses even though they beat Ohio St. head to head. Wisconsin finishes behind Ohio St. this year with 1 loss head to head against Ohio St. Wisconsin actually went one step further than Ohio St did last year. so Last game counts the most, and failure to play a game (even get into your Conf championship) means you get a game off.

So head to head was important this year, but not last year. And the conference championship did matter this year, but not last year. This is getting real messy via the BiG.

Really What we found out last year was we only needed two teams, Alabama and Clemson. There was zero controversy over 1 and 2.

Ohio St had no business being in the playoff last year. So this year we only need 3. OU, Clemson and Georgia. Give someone a bye.

No way to be fair.

Don't lose to Iowa by 31 and you are in. And if you're SC, don't lose to Washington State.

Bama deservedly got in. They had an easy schedule, but they weren't trying to book FCS schools all year. They played FSU. Who would have thought shit would hit the fan.
