Here's my top 5

1) Christmas Story
2) Scrooge (1970)
3) Elf
4) Love Actually (yeah...I know)
5) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

I didn't include any of the cartoons.
My favorite of those is probably Year Without a Santa Clause. Mainly because of the Snow Miser / Heat Miser song.

And don't fucking throw out Die Hard. Not a Christmas movie.

I like Christmas Vacation but I think it gets overhyped as a must watch.

1. Holiday Inn
2. Die Hard
3. Christmas Story
4. Elf

Love movies but......never warmed up to Christmas flicks, or.....Christmas music. And I love Christmas. I have no idea why I'm like that, it's weird.

As usual...wrong. The movie happened during Christmas, it's not about Christmas at all, ok? I know, confused.

1. Holiday InnDefinitely up there.

There's a really good Broadway adaptation streaming on the PBS site/app/Roku free for another week or so.

You've got this one right. I hear this debate often and I can't believe that people actually consider this a Christmas movie.

I think one piece of evidence is that Die Hard is shown year round on TV. And not run any more frequently during Christmas time.

You never see....in July....a Christmas Carol or Miracle on 34th.

Nope.

I just saw Love Actually. The soft core boob shots were worth the rest of the movie. High five SpursForSix!

It's good (and the 2nd best Vacation movie) but still way inferior to the first Vacation. That's one movie that I could have on an endless loop and probably never tire of it.

I think European Vacation is wildly underrated. The European Culture scene and the part where they visited and stayed with the wrong people in Germany were classic. Or when Clark hit Eric Idle with his car. :lmao

Yeah, I think Chevy is at his best in that one when he's just himself. He tries wayyyy too hard in the Christmas and Vegas movies.

I think it's the best movie I have ever seen when it comes to capturing the excitement of being a kid at Christmas. When you're eight years old and looking forward months to that one toy that's too expensive for your parents to buy you in the regular year and then you get it under the tree Christmas morning. I mean there is no feeling like that again until the first time you get laid.

I used to think that for the longest time. Never really liked it growing up. But now that I'm older and miss the magic and innocence of the Christmas experience as a kid, the movie is absolutely a joy to watch.

I crack up up at the grumpy dad. He reminds me of my dad, but mine was ten times worse. :lol

Wow. I watched Christmas Vacation for the first time in at least 20 years. Not nearly as funny as I remembered it. There's no way I should have it at 5.

Watched Christmas Vacation tonight with the fam...good stuff.

If Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie then neither is Home Alone, imo.....just a movie about a home invasion that happens to be at Christmas.....
