Back at it tonight as we host a struggling 7-12 Memphis team who have lost 8 straight, and 11 of their last 13. This team is in shambles as they just fired their HC after Marc Gasol's frustrated comments he made after their last loss. No Z-Bo or Tony Allen anymore, and Mike Conley is out with his Left Achilles injury. The Grit-N-Grind era is officially dead. There's no reason why we shouldn't win this one handily at home. Let's get it.

What the David Fizdale firing says about him, Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies front office, and others (http://www.commercialappeal.com/story/sports/nba/grizzlies/pick-and-pop/2017/11/29/what-david-fizdale-firing-says-him-marc-gasol-grizzlies-front-office-and-others/904113001/)

While the rest are playing basketball, it sometimes feels like Gasol is simultaneously trying to solve quadratic equations in his head to find the right balance between being his squad’s star (or one of two) and being just a cog in an idealized teamwork machine. Only one person gets to be Tim Duncan.

Time for a little more payback for 2011.

At first I feel like we have already given Memphis their comeuppance, and now they are definitely trending downward.

Then I think about ZBo raining threes and shushing our fucking crowd...and I could go for a little more vengeance.

again guard play.. when there are a lot of jumpshots there are a lot of long rebounds if the guards aren't active.. they get outhustled. Again, I am not a fan of microlineups with 2 tiny guards.

I guess you can say that considering that 3 of the Grizzlies 5 made 3s came from guys who shoot under 30% from 3: Andrew Harrison (20%), Dillon Brooks (29.2%), James Ennis (29.4% although he did shoot 37.2% from 3 last season).

Aaron Gordon's line 40 pts on 13-23 with 6-12 made 3s, 8-11 on FT, 15 rebounds, 4 as, 4 st. 1 TO, 1 PF.

Pop has cut Manu's minutes every season and doesn't always play him big mins in the 2nd half or in the 4th. He's 9th in the team in MPG in the 4th, (tho really 7th cause it has Hilliard/Costello) but he's behind LMA, Green, Forbes, Anderson, Mills, and Murray.

I feel like people think he plays more than he does. Overall he's 8th in MPG, and he'll probably be 10th once Kawhi is back and TP gets back to playing around 20.

Guys are definitely getting the opportunity to step up. Paul is losing time, but could see him getting an extra mins and Manu going down a bit even more.

Right, that's normal. I meant about having a Superstar to bail him out. People are acting like the mad scientist thing is new tho. Things always tend to tighten up a bit after the all Star break, sometimes earlier if there's a lot of turnover on the roster.

At the end of the day, they're 1 game behind GS in the loss column depsite their injuries, and 2 behind the Rockettes. Had we had Kawhi, it's a safe bet we're the 1 seed
