Too many times we have seen this bed look completely lost offnesively, and in a 3 point shooting league the Spurs may get left behind.
We need another 1-2 consistent three point shooter and we really another shot blocker at the rim. It's a layup drill far too many times against this team.
Maybe it won't matter at the end of the day since Spurs won't get any higher than the third seed and play GS in the second round and lose in 5 most likely, but we really need to do something by the time the trade deadline rolls around because their is still too much dead weight on this team.

Another big? Yes. They have enough shooters, however; Pop just needs to play them.

Hopefully, Spurs are a middle of the pack 3 point shooting team and that just isn't going to cut it with how the league is now.

That'll get better with Kawhi back and taking attention away from everyone else/being an elite shooter himself. I'm much more worried about freethrows shooting. NBA teams should not consistently be shooting below 65% from the charity stripe.

Chalk it up to rust. Hadn't played since Friday. Integrating a new player as well.
Plenty of excuses for this ugly L

The 3rd (traditional) big spot is officially a hole in this roster-- something that the Dedmon/Lee combo filled adequately last season..
Really shame Lee retired..Dude could still play in this league for few more years..

If only we had a guy on the roster that was good at those two things.

It's true. We need another shooter since Danny-League has shat on himself, his girl, and his family post-October. Not even going to mention his terrible defense.

Either way this is the best Rockets team of the past 20 years,
spurs won’t have HCA this time and Chris Paul owns us.

Team has a lot of shooters. They need a better rim protector than Joff for their 3rd center.
It doesn't look like that will be addressed.
Bertans did get playing time when the game was close FWIW.
They need Kawhi and Kyle.

They need Kawhi and Kyle.
Can we stop with this too. The team doesn't need Kyle. The team needs Kawhi.
You can love Kyle all you want, but acting like the Spurs would not be fine without him is ridiculous. He's a player having a solid year. He helped while Kawhi was out, but he now goes back to his normal role off the bench behind Kawhi. We could plug in a dozen other players in Kyle's spot and be fine. We can't replace Kawhi.

What they need is someone like Manu who is smart knows how to dribble ball in traffic and can set up team mates for easy scores. If you think our offense sucks wait till Manu retires then you will truly appreciate all the little things he did.
So tired of these midget SG Patty and Forbes

I think we'll add another two guard next year. My best guess is Mario Hezonja. That's who I'm hoping for anyways. He should come cheap, I think he'd thrive in our system. I think Belinelli will also be a free agent and I definitely wouldn't mind if we brought him back. As far as shot blockers go, I don't have any great ideas there.

Spurs gambled with Joff. I think they thought he had a chance to be a good defender in the mold of Oberto,Splitter.

Team is supposed to be loaded with 3-point shooting . . .
Projected high volume, above average: Leonard, Green, Mills, Bertans, Forbes.
Projected high volume, average: Ginobili.
Projected low volume, above average: Gasol, Parker, Paul.
Projected low volume, average: Gay, Aldridge, White.
Projected low volume, below average: Anderson, Lauvergne, Murray.
While some are incomplete and a bunch have hit or slightly exceeded the minimum threshold to match their projection, in reality only Aldridge, Gasol and Forbes have lived up to expectations. Some of that is unquestionably due to a dearth of play making with Parker and Leonard out (not that they have a sufficient amount when healthy), but at the same time, last I seen, they were in the 20s in uncontested 3-point percentage. They also had the biggest post All-Star break decline in offensive rating last season.
The 3rd (traditional) big spot is officially a hole in this roster-- something that the Dedmon/Lee combo filled adequately last season..

It was the moment Lauvergne was signed. People wanted to believe in this mythical nonsense about Spurs "system" turning him into an NBA player, but the reality is, he doesn't shoot well enough and isn't mobile enough to be a PF and isn't nearly long enough (6'9.5'' wingspan) to be a C.
They should offer Forbes/Lauvergne for Nogueira and Len. It's at least worth a shot.

not signed Patty
not extended Pau, quite possibly his expiring would have been good trade bait, especially before the wire.
Kept real nigggga Dedman, signed David Lee.
let Porkers contract run out:
Ballin this summer with tons of cap space to make a REAL run in 2018-19.
Instead the Popped and FO brain trust set us up for what, 1st or ceiling 2nd round exits for the next 3 years? :lmao

Probably could have salvaged the PG situation by offering Mills and Murray for Bledsoe (given Suns' underwhelming return, they likely would have waited until tomorrow, when Mills can be traded), but culture and politics were more important than increasing the upside of the team.
They're inexplicably willing to risk a significant portion of Leonard's prime (possibly even his re-signing) and the remainder of Aldridge's, on Murray, a boom or bust prospect and archetype that lacks successful comps, becoming an above average starter.

It's alarming... hopefully it pans out for them if this is indeed what they are doing. I am fan and I am going to eat the Front Office cake and what they are selling, but it's indeed alarming.

I think per norm, they'll try to make a move come deadline but no one wants to help the spurs out as seen this past summer.
