Dude is amazing... and for some reason he plays even better against the Spurs...

Something to learn from today's game is that we no longer have a competitive point guard, tbh, with Paul, Westbrook, Curry, Spurs are at a severe disadvantage at that position...

It’s laughable how many Spurs still think (or now hopefully thought) that SA can beat the Rockets come playoff time.

Chris Paul was the biggest pickup in the offseason and if you relaxed him with zharden last season he Spurs get pushed to seven games.

The Spurs are weak at every position but SF against the teams that matter, tbh.

Is there someone that doesn’t play “even better” against the Spurs or am I missing something?

None of this matters if you still get swept by the Dubs in the playoffs.

Yeah. Harden and CP3 are huge chokers, but a series against them is going to be tough regardless.

One game. Not worried. Rockets will do Rockets things. Turned the game on in the 2nd quarter and saw 10 straight threes between the two teams and immediately shut it off. No one on the Spurs were giving more than 30%

Of course there's no good PG's on this team. We have 8 SG's on the roster and not one of them are good

With the way the Rockets have been talked about this season you’d think they were the ones that eliminated the Spurs last year in the playoffs.......

We already knew that. When Tony is elite of which we had a rare sighting in the playoffs b4 he tore off a leg ... the team looks different.

One has to keep hoping for Dijon's development at this point.

Cp3 could have been a spur if Pop and Buford weren’t so hell bent on keeping Parker as the starter until 2049. In terms of the money, if they didn’t pay Pau and Patty they could’ve tried to convince CP3 to join. Pau and Patty have been disappointing all season. Not worth all that cap space.

Rockets just hit shots and the Spurs played below average defense. If you're cliff jumping over a game where Tony is just starting to come off minutes restriction, Kawhi is on heavy minutes restriction, no Fat Head, and the Rockets were drilling every 3 in sight then you're a pussy. Spurs will still beat this team come the playoffs now dry your eyes you fucking pathetic obese Mexicans.

I was not fearing Rockets. They still seem trash on D, but our offense is in a huge funk. Yet we scored over 90 points in 3 quarters without playing much of our starters. In fact we had 1 fta from our starters and missed a first 10 3pa.

And Pop typically does not do much with matchups for the first 2 meetings. He ran a few out there too see how they looked. In the playoffs we had Danny Green marking Ryan Anderson which takes Anderson out of the offense, and we also completely shut down Gordon and Lou Williams after game 1.

As long as we play ChokeP3 in the second round, we’ll be fine.

That's pretty much how I feel. Spurs were even with the Rox for 3 quarters. The first quarter is what did them in. Also Pop was playing mad scientist in this game by throwing out random lineups to see what works and what doesn't against the Rockets.

Anyone who thinks Rockets wouldn't be clear favorites, is delusional. They probably should have won last season and have now added a 2nd top 10 player, while Spurs did nothing to move the needle. As frustrating as it would be if it happens, it's probably for the best that either Warriors or Rockets destroy (healthy) Spurs in 2nd round. At that point, they'll have no choice but to acknowledge they're not close and can't win with archaic style and lack of a dynamic PG.

:lol They're ranked 6th currently. Only 19th in strength of schedule, so maybe there's some regression, but as long as they're somewhat close to Spurs defensively, they're clearly better overall since they'll always blow them out of the water offensively.
