That could be true. I think most people can't handle losing and sound off the alarm even before the spurs lose the game when they are down. I can understand getting angry if the team is on a 4-5 game losing streak but going pyscho after 1 loss is pretty stupid.

Bullshit, show me where I was happy when Kawhi got injured

LMA has been good in the year as a whole, but fourth quarter time it’s Kawhi or Manu or nothing. LMA can’t be trusted 80% of the time if it’s crunch time.

Oh fuck right off, the entire world had the Spurs losing that series, Warriors were HEAVY favourites to win that series. The only shame in the Spurs losing that series was how awful LMA looked at the time. But keep making stuff up.

Nope. Poop drew that up. One of the worst out of timeout playcallers in the league and it doesn't receive enough attention

He's a fake all-star That's been stat padding for his entire career. Yet, people still get fooled into thinking He's a core player and a difference maker. I'm sure he'll show up big time against the Lakers and King and everybody will love him again because that's what fake all stars do. I'm sure Portland really misses him.

TD 21
01-07-2018, 11:35 PM
Free throws are one thing, but he's a big, with a sub par handle and play making ability; what do you expect? Outside of prime Duncan and Nowitzki, off the top of my head, I can't think of another successful team in recent memory that played through a big down the stretch.

Blame the front office for not acquiring a second perimeter player that they can play through. There's no other above average team that doesn't have two.

spursistan
01-07-2018, 11:37 PM
Extremely discouraging to see him shook again down the stretch after a great game in a low-stake affair..Again, very few have the "it" factor..

01-07-2018, 11:43 PM
He is who he is. The second best player on a good team that shouldn't be taking the last shot. Not his fault that his alcoholic coach is daydreaming about what winery he should go to after the game, except watching one of his best players for 15 years playing great basketball who should of taken that last shot.

i don't think LMA is a choker like OP, what i disagree with is not putting it in manus hands and do a p&r with LMA. only reason not to go with him is if he was tired since he had played i believe the last 8 mins straight of the 4th

This. Asking Patty to orchestrate a game-winning play is basically asking to lose, especially when you have Ginobili on the floor.

Stick Patty in the corner where he belongs and throw it out for an open three if he gets it, but Manu is by far our best P&R passer.

Slippy
03-09-2018, 01:14 AM
Not on Aldridge at all. He showed up including the 4th. They crowded him & forced others to make plays.

This team lacks closers who can play smart & a competent floor general that knows what to run in the last 2mins . Pop could of controlled some of it through lineups. No Gay or Tony to finish is a glaring mistake.

HarlemHeat37
03-09-2018, 01:18 AM
Aldridge played great, I don't know why anybody expects him to be a closer, it's not his game..it's very easy to erase his impact in a tight game with a swarming defense..

I don't know why they signed Gay if they aren't going to use him as a closer, it's been his best attribute throughout his career..

theman21
03-09-2018, 08:09 AM
Aldridge was great and I don’t get why everyone is upset, you go into the reigning champions building and nearly shock them. They had benefit of crowd and favorable touch calls.

Sure GS is a different team with Curry, but Kawhi means more to the Spurs than Curry means to GS; one just changes the offensive opportunities and pace, the other ALSO plays defense.

This is the worst Spurs team by most accounts and still looked competitive against championship-caliber team. Let’s not be naive though,Spurs needed a full year with Kawhi to get defensively cohesive, the team has adapted to Aldridge offensively but defense wins championships.

I think what Pop has done is pretty good considering the talent, but in the West you need 2 superstars not just 2 all stars. Sadly Aldridge is finally living up to his paycheck this season but a big portion of me believes it’s due to NOT coexisting with Kawhi. If the two could work together and get over themselves they’re enough to make the Spurs a championship contender.

It’s clear that the Spurs lack 3 point threat and a defensive big that can run the floor. We need to give up on Gasol (worst offseason move since paying Malik Rose).

Not really sure though, Spurs FO have painted themselves into a corner with ability to build around Kawhi. We look like Portland 2.0 that Aldridge left when he couldn’t be the star.
