Something is the way it is... until it isn't.

Elway can't win the big one.

Jordan won't get past Boston or Detroit.

Cubs will never win it all.

History repeats itself... until it doesn't.

The Rockets didn't get an answer for KD, tbh. The Spurs have Kawhi/Green/KA and thus the better chance, tbh.

NBA loves this drama. The more he talks, the more the odds swing in their favor to meet the Dubs in the playoffs. Don't forget baby Stern is at the helm. ESPN will be hyping the shit out of this for the rest of the season.

Rockets struggling without CP3 against the Clippers.

Clippers in the game because of Austin Rivers.

CN going to have nightmares.

Rockets have Ariza/Tucker/Mbah A Moute for Dominos tbh. Their problem is they're trying to beat the Dubs at their own game which isn't going to happen.

:lol CP0 faking "injuries" because he's scared of Austin Rivers

No one is even allowed to try to defend Harden. If they do its an automatic foul. What a joke.

The MVP will become a devalued and meaningless award if Frauden ever wins it.

Harden getting a taste of his own medicine from Evans. Evans has gotten 2 flopping calls against Harden.

I'm loving the flops against Frauden, since he deserves every second of it, but I'm hoping it doesn't become a habit. Flopping is one thing I definitely don't miss from the CP0 era.

This game exemplified why I'm not a believer in Harden, and thus Houston. When the going gets tough, he can't get it done.

No one in the league has the answer for KD on the Warriors. There's not even a lot of moving you could do even if you have an open field to choose from. You'd be hard pressed to put a team together that could beat the Warriors at full strength in a 7 game series, especially given only half a year or so to get to that team play level.

The award has been meaningless for years. Nash’s second mvp award. Karl malone ever winning one when he wasn’t even the mvp of his own team. Rose winning. Kobe in 08. Westbrook. Iverson (as much as I love watching him), magic in 90, mcadoo, Cowen’s because he’s white, wes Unseld. It has been bad for decades.

Good point, but Unseld's Finals MVP was bullshit, not his regular-season one. Westbrook's MVP was well-deserved. And McAdoo deserved his MVP too.

Westbrook’s one is probably the worst mvp in the last 20 years other than rose.

Mcadoo doesn’t do anything other than score.

:lol No. He averaged a triple-double while dragging a garbage team to the playoffs. The alternative was rewarding Frauden's flopping and incentivizing more players to play refball instead of basketball. Anyone who likes real basketball should be glad Westbrook won MVP.

The year he won MVP, he led the league in overall win shares, was 6th in defensive win shares, top 5 in TS%, and was an elite rebounder and shot blocker. And that was in addition to his scoring prowess. Honestly, a case could be made that he also deserved to win MVP the year before.

It should have been Kawhi last year. I would even go with harden ahead of Westbrook. Yes, hardens game was ugly but it helps the rockets, thus valuable. Westbrook made the thunder better for sure, just that he hogs the credit through stats and took what would have been contribution from other members anyways; very Kobesque.

Mcadoo was the original stat whoring mvp. He’s like elvin Hayes reincarnate. Kareem should have won that year but didn’t because of the injuries. Mcadoo stat hogged to make himself look better than he really was. He was better the previous year.
