Don’t be so sure. The flesh is weak.

You forget your audience - that's not really a problem for middle-aged, post-menopausal women. And I should remember my audience - young men still in the early stages of dating/marriage with young kids - who can't conceive of cheating/think it can't happen to them.

Indeed. It's as absurd to get defensive over it as it is for a major news conglomerate to spend days covering the fat president's fatness.
have any news conglomerates been unable to proceed with other stories as usual because they're devoting too much time and manpower on discussing his weight

there have been conflicting reports. the outlets report what their sources tell them.

if you're a journalist and aUS Senator gives you a quote, you probably run it. that's not "fake news." even if your source turns out to be wrong later, you can correct/retract it. fake news would be if the reporter just fabricated the story out of their imagination with no source, corroboration, or reason to believe that its true only to sway opinions, and then never make any correction/retraction

the only thing "big" about the story is POTUS tbh. i dont think it has been the primary story "for days" anywhere.

besides, they could have just issued a statement and went along with their day. instead they trot out the fuckin doctor for a press conference at the white house. thats asking for media coverage

His diet occupied their top story space for a loooonnnngggg time on their website. (CNN)

And yeah, he's very, very fat.

He's a very good representation of the typical American- stupid, over privileged, says-alot-does-little, social media addicted loud mouth. That's pretty common for both "sides", tbh.

you said its been "refuted as false" when it reality we have conflicting reports. its not "fake news" to play a quote from Lindsey Graham or Dick Durbin. if those guys lie, then they are "fake" not the outlet who is airing their quote. you'd be an idiot as a journalist to not run a story when 2 US Senators give you a quote like that :lol

Not just “girthers”: Doctors question Trump’s health report

“We’re talking about a 70-plus-year-old man who is obese and doesn’t exercise”

Dr. David Maron, the director of preventive cardiology at Stanford University's medical school, said he was seriously concerned with Trump's LDL cholesterol levels, which were above 140.

The recommended levels are 100 or less, and Maron said he was "definitely" worried about the risk of the president having a heart attack,

"That’s a really high LDL," Dr. Eric Topol of the Scripps Research Institute said, the Times reported.

"We’re talking about a 70-plus-year-old man who is obese and doesn’t exercise. Just looking at the lab value, you would raise a big red flag."
He added, "I would never use the words 'excellent health.'

How you could take these indices and say excellent health? That is completely contradicted."

"I get exercise. :lol

I mean I walk, :lol

I this, :lol

I that," :lol

Trump told (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-fitness/exclusive-exercise-i-get-more-than-people-think-trump-says-idUSKBN1F633B?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=US+Reuters+News+Now+2018-01-18&utm_term=US+Reuters+News+Now) Reuters in an Oval Office interview.

"I run over to a building next door. :lol I get more exercise than people think."

There are certainly legitimate reasons to draw questions about Trump's health and how it's been marketed as "excellent" by the White House,

considering the White House's track record (https://www.salon.com/2017/12/21/the-white-house-is-misleading-the-public-on-chain-migration/) of misleading (https://www.salon.com/2017/12/21/the-white-house-is-misleading-the-public-on-chain-migration/) the public on a number of issues ranging from

chain migration

to inauguration crowd size.

there are things worth getting defensive over. trump being overweight isn't one of them, tbh :lol

True that.

I find it a tad fishy that his weight came out juuuust one pound shy of "obese" for his given height, and how much the guy lies about EVERYTHING. Don't care as much about that as his cognitive functions.

"It is reassuring to be told that Trump can pass this test. But it underscores the absurdity in the fact that this brief and voluntary assessment—of a sort that might be used to place a child in kindergarten—is the only basis for assessing fitness of a president. It underscores the need of a comprehensive, transparent, nonpartisan approach to testing the cognitive abilities of a president and sharing the results openly."

Trump’s mental health exam was insufficient

Mental health experts have been silenced in their effort to call for an in-depth cognitive exam,

The brief screening that Trump received in his annual physical, performed by White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson,

proved little,

and the op-ed described a handful of other tests that would have been more thorough.

“There are already ample indicators that additional testing is indicated,” reads the op-ed.

“And this is just on the neurological side.

It does not even touch the psychological side,

where urgent concerns also lie and

an assessment should have been done starting with a full history and standardized battery of testing.”

the question of Trump’s mental fitness is a matter of public health, and that the public shouldn’t be left to “fend for themselves” without analysis from qualified mental health professionals.

“The limited screen Trump received can even be harmful, by giving the public a false sense of reassurance,”

it didn’t prove much (http://www.newsweek.com/trumps-montreal-cognitive-assessment-mental-health-psychiatrists-783524) besides basic cognitive function.

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/01/trumps-mental-health-exam-was-insufficient/

It is developed to be universal and accessible to all levels of intelligence and education. IOW, a kindergartener would be expected to handle it.

I personally do not believe that he is demented but I do believe that he doesn't get enough sleep, eats poorly, and doesn't exercise which all will impair your cognitive ability.

Look at the test. It was a bit less than rigorous. Enough to gauge an advance level of decline, but cognitive impairment happens long before that test would really detect it, as the article noted.

tbh the essay can be filled with falsehoods, but still has to follow a logical pattern... they look for the typical 3-5 paragraph format, intro/analysis/conclusion thing with each of your main points being first brought up in the intro.

if you start rambling about what "my uncle told me about nuclear" you probably wont score well :lol

Rumors of a mercurial management style and alcohol abuse continue to swirl around US Rep. Ronny Jackson.

President Donald Trump is "in excellent health," White House physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, said following his physical Friday.

http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/13/health/trump-mental-health-exam/index.html#ampshare=http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/13/health/trump-mental-health-exam/index.html

Young ordered Jackson to step back and moved him back. According to Deputy Alexander, Jackson pointed to Young and said, “I’m going to beat that mother fuckers’ ass!”

The congressman later told Terry that in his attempt to care for the patient, he thought it was safe to put a gumball in the patient’s mouth as a way to elevate her blood sugar. But in an exchange included in the report between Terry and White Deer EMS provider Kimberly Thomas, Thomas says that the gum presents a choking hazard to patients having a seizure, and that most gum is sugar free and thus would not address low blood sugar.

Due to Jackson’s extremely agitated state, in which he continued to yell profanities, deputies brought him to the ground and placed the congressman in handcuffs, according to the report. Officers then escorted Jackson out of the rodeo grounds and removed the handcuffs, while he continued to scream profanities at Trooper Young. After the congressman was released, his wife, Jane Jackson, approached the deputies and demanded their information before their group got into a Black SUV and left the scene.

Later that evening the Sheriff Terry received a text from dispatch that read, “Congressman Ronny Jackson wants a phone call tonight referencing something that happened at the rodeo.”When Terry called Jackson at the provided number, the congressman said he was “fucking pissed” about the incident, and said the deputies had used bad judgment. He demanded an investigation and consequences for the deputies involved. After threatening to “bury” the sheriff in the next election, Jackson ended the call with the phrase, “Game on,” Terry wrote in the report.

Law enforcement officials have not yet released footage of the incident, but Terry’s report said that he has reviewed tapes and agreed that the deputies actions were justified.
