My last year of school saw Philly having a record number of deferred days due to a heat wave. Texas freaks out about ice because they don't have the infrastructure to deal with it (and wouldn't because it's too expensive for how little use it'd get). In that same way, Philly freaked out because they tend not to have things like central AC.

I live in the NW part of the city and some people have some hellacious driveways. As some try to enter they will slide thru their garage door. Others will have to park on the street because they can't even make it up the hill. Always happens.

It’s currently 19 degrees in NOLA. All of the schools are closed and most of the highways are closed due to ice. It’s fucking freezing outside.

Gotta call BS on that. Lots of northern areas the schools don't have AC. Little Johnny woke up late, hates wearing shorts and ran to hard in gym. No ac, muggy conditions he passed the fuck out. I'll take 115 in Arizona over 100 in the corn belt where it's hazy from the humidity all day. How are roads built for snow? Most roads here don't get salt or sand. Pretty common for a lot if roads to be ice packed all winter.
