The lack of update on Gay must mean its long term or indefinite. Damn shame

"Spurs forward Rudy Gay underwent an MRI examination this morning in San Antonio. The exam revealed that Gay has right retrocalcaneal bursitis. He has started a rest and rehabilitation program and will be re-evaluated in two weeks."

That was on 12/29/17 - so technically he would have been re-evaluated on 1/12/18 -- granted this is the Spurs who go on the safe side of recovery time.

Gay was a high risk high reward opportunity

Cant blame the spurs for rolling the dice on that one

lol wtf when did Pau hurt his wrist?

He said he's been playing with a hand issue for a little while after last night's game.

I would assume he hurt it in a game where Pop was resting other players.

I don’t want to know how or where he injured it.

Pau said he injured the hand at the Denver game, a game everyone played btw...

Last game it was stiff but he decided to play through it, and he reaggravated the injury.

His actual recovery time is on the order of 6-8 weeks if the reports that came out around that time are true. We're still at least a month away, I think. And this isn't like a torn ligament or sprain; the only real way to heal bursitis is to not aggravate it. That means he can't use that leg for much of anything during that time. It's something you'd want to see clear up completely before even trying to get back into shape.

Kawhi out "indefinitely" . . .

There are a few updates... besides Kawhi being out indefinitely... :depressed

Rudy Gay is still a couple of weeks out at least from coming back and Manu will miss the Bklyn and Toronto games at least.

The Spurs will also face the Nets tonight without Rudy Gay, who Popovich said is "still a couple weeks" from returning from a bout of right heel bursitis. They also will not have Manu Ginobili, who Popovich expects will miss tonight's game and Friday's contest in Toronto with a thigh contusion.
