Yep. He’s done. Hopefully we can lose out and get a good draft pick like in 96 when DRob got hurt and we drafted Duncan

Spurs won't get a high pick even if they do tank. They are more likely to get somewhere around 10-14 if they pursue tanking. I rather the Spurs try to win all their games even if they are eliminated in the first round.

omg.... Rob said it. He said it early in the season.

TBH I thought this was a troll thread.

Pop was really open explaining that:
1. Kawhi wants to play,
2. He really can't. He hasn't really felt fine, that is what posters here were commenting on, that he's really not the same player as last season, his explosiveness wasn't the same and that he really didn't look right.
3. It explains the really slow approach to not play him without 2 days in between, the bringing him into a game for 15 minutes only for like his first 3 games back, etc.
4. He hasn't been right the entire season. It also explains why he was expected to play at Atlanta, and was a late scratch. He warmed up and didn't feel well.
5. This is not a CIA Pop schtick, unfortunately. Kawhi really is not fine.

Spurs had Kawhi with the 15th pick, with 10-14 we will draft the new GOAT

Actually, he's looked great in the games he's played. He scored off the drive, made some acrobatic finishes, made some 3s, some and 1s, played his usual excellent defense... His stats were lower because his minutes were lower. I believe he has a lingering injury, but I don't know why some people thought he didn't look right. He looked good on the court.

At this point just shut him down for the season. We gotta think long term and save him from becoming a D-rose. It's manu's farewell tour anyways, let's just focus on that

And let LMA continue to get his touches

we should let LMA and Gay rest while we at it. Lets build on Forbes and Murray and let Patty embarrass himself even more.

Next year we will be ready.

he was the mvp of the playoffs the last time he was healthy, this in a league with Durant Harden Curry Giannis, etc ... the fact he is so good makes people highly demanding with their level of play, your PER is the 6th in the league playing without being close to 100%

Doesn't this lead you to believe he will never be the same "Kawhi" again? I mean, he had all off-season and half of this season. Many athletes come back from ACL tears faster than this.

It looks like his quad ... and his career ... is toast.

Inexplicable tbh...

We as fans don't really know when this injury happened. He started the season this way, and he allegedly missed training camp too. His teammates had not even seen him or practiced with him.

It's all been covered up and kept mum. It's an overuse injury so maybe a leftover from last season I thought... but it has never been disclosed.

I have read about this injury and it reminds me of plantar fasciitis. Just like Plantar Fasciitis it can't be healed through surgery but can heal up at anytime. It's bitch injury but whenever it heals Kawhi should be ok.

Maybe we can find a transplant quad for him. Or grow one. Quickly go donate some stem cells
