Rajon Rondo, a member of Boston's 2008 title team with Pierce, expressed dissatisfaction when told of the Celtics' plan to also honor Thomas.

"What has [Thomas] done?" Rondo said before Tuesday's game, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. When told how Thomas led Boston to the East finals, Rondo replied, "Oh, that's what we celebrate around here?"

Rondo, now of the Pelicans, later added: "This is the Boston Celtics. This isn't the Phoenix Suns. No disrespect to any other organization but [the Celtics] don't hang conference titles."

This just perpetuates the idea that a scrub on a great team > an all star on an good team.

Rondo wouldn’t even sniff the playoffs if he wasn’t on a team with three of the best players in the last 20 years. He would’ve accomplished a lot less in place of nash on those suns teams. Then people go and side with him and mentally weak players like Durant sees it and go join a 73 win team to free ride to titles as if they accomplished something, like that douche who has a rich daddy thinking he get to drive a Bentley because he’s better than anyone else.

However, :lol suns.

Isaiah > Rondo.

And Pierce needs to stop being so butthurt, tbh. Doc already gave him his big moment in Boston last year. He cost us any chance of a win by starting that washed-up faggot and playing him down the stretch. But Isaiah can't even get an appreciation video? FOH.

Draymond wouldn’t even sniff the playoffs if he wasn’t on a team with three of the best players in the last 20 years. He would’ve accomplished a lot less in place of Griffin on those Clipper teams. FiFY. I agreed with your original post but I decided to have some fun with it. I have a feeling Draymond will have a Rondo moment like this 5-6 years from now when he's a scrub on a team like the Kings.

We probably weren't going to win regardless. We definitely weren't going to win with 80-year-old Pierce starting and getting minutes down the stretch.

Rondo is also full of himself... he's been in like 8 teams in the past 3 seasons...

Isaiah > Rondo
.

Disagree with you there. You just can't win/play a championship brand of basketball with Thomas. No defense, 5'8 score first guard? Yeah, no thanks.

Would take prime Rondo over hot garbage thomas any day, tbh.

That was after Danny Ainge stole his best years on the cheap, tbh.

I'm not a huge fan of either player, but Rondo is a known locker room cancer, and he ruins a team's spacing with his inability to shoot. Just because Pierce, KG and Ray dragged him to a ring in a previous era doesn't mean he's better than Isaiah.

IT: Worst defensive player in NBA history. And Rondo opens up the court and inspires movement by being a willing passer.

The joke is the Celtics. Giving Ray a tribute after he went Benedict Arnold on them shows what a snowflake organization they've become. Now they're giving tributes for revolving door midgets?

Isaiah dragged them to a conference finals on his own. Rondo hasn't won a playoff series without three HOFers carrying him.

Big deal. ECF no more impressive than first round in the west last season.
