The Hornets waived guard Troy Bell on Tuesday. Bell played 10 minutes for them this preseason, but did not score, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Bell is the all-time leading score at Boston College, but hasn't found a role with an NBA squad since being drafted by the Celtics with the 16th pick in the 2003 draft. A player with his collegiate accolades is likely to sign with another squad before the season begins, but until he finds himself in a starting role, which may never happen, he has no fantasy value.
