Tell me why we couldn't get Embiid or Simmons. Kawhi has been to 2 finals, won a ring, finals MVP, 2 DPOYs and proven he can shut down LeBron (and earlier Chimpbrook) in the process. Then he damn near went Nash-esque 50-40-90 the next year and averaged close to 30. Then he was single handedly beating the only team that matters right now in the WCF until they did the sweep the leg. Embiid has a nice catch phrase and Simmons' future is bright as hell but neither have the proof that Leonard has behind his name.

The LMA deal is not an albatross - it’s fair value for a guy who coaches put third at front court All Star voting. Gasol has been worth every dime this year but future years are scary.
