I don't know what other turmoil Gilbert is going through other than Cavs related. But he purchased the team for $375 million and it's currently worth over $1.2 billion. Even if LeBron leaves and the value drops some, Gilbert will still have made his money back and a couple times over. I mean, he'll have made an easy half a billion plus over a decade and a half of ownership. I think he'll be okay with his turmoil.

Selling high might be the way to go, tbh. Lebron leaves and the franchise value goes down by forty percent overnight.
