View Full Version : I’m never going to a Spurs game again

First Spurs game I attended since the grizzlies game two last year, and I got there early in an empty lower level gray chair fwiw. They are starting to wonder why the NBA is losing money this is why. We pay a lot of money to watch these athletes pay, and they suck the whole fucking game. I don’t give a shit.

If you bought the tickets before the season started I can understand ur frustration.
but if you bought them recently (knowing of the injuries) you cant cry when a 4 year third-stringer Anderson puts up 4 pts 4 reb in 28 minutes

DPG21920 Serious question where would they relocate to? Memphis and new Orleans would be first in line to be courted by another city. I'd even throw in Charlotte and possibly Atlanta before the Spurs.

All those cities couldn't care less about their team or the NBA in general at this stage in time. While here the Spurs are the only game in town and are closing in on 30 straight over .500 records.

And like OP said the league is losing money as a whole, probably due to being so top heavy.

When one of the main persons responsible for the product on the floor candidly admits fans shouldv'e asked for their money back, reactions like this should be expected, tbh...

Why are you paying money when Pop himself doesn't give a damn about the regular season?

I worry that if they don't do something to make team better by the time the lease is up, they will relocate the team. I don't see the holts still owning it and wouldn't be surprised if they sell to someone who will want to move. And I have no faith regarding sports with this city government.

He has to give enough a damn to get an eighth seed n I'm sure he cares enough that he wants to be higher to have better matchups

With Pop’s rest days and over caution on injuries, you never know if you’ll be watching the Spurs starters or G League call ups.

Don’t worry. The rodeo and stock show will make them stay. We will always have that. It’s why they built that barn for animals.

Are you serious? That was more a Tim Duncan in his prime thing. It took a while to get the chemistry and role players up to par and playing well back then. This is a different team with different players the past few years, and no prime Tim Duncan to lead the charge.

Austin, lolno

Seattle would be a great fit, you'd probably move OKC to the Southwest division but that's ok I guess

Austin... No. There will only be one team EVER in Austin.

Hey, Austin is filthy with money and folks wanting to spend it on neato shit like seats and boxes in a new arena. And it's not like Longhorn basketball sells out every game. I wouldn't even think it a possibility if the American-Statesman property wasn't in play.

No, MLS is coming to Austin.Probably not behind the Zach where they want it. I don't know why the city is offering up open space for them. Let them find their own land.

It made me feel a lot better after the game that I booed the team going into the tunnel. Thankfully I didn’t bring my nephew, or Kawhi would have ignored him.

Big 12 only supports Women's Soccer, not men's. I believe they do have a club team, not a varsity one. Not entirely sure, I go to a different Big 12 school.
