This article brings up today's pace as a factor in the big man's injury, comparing Cousins minutes to Timmy's when he used to play 40+ mpg.

what's to discuss? fatigue usually contributes to injury.

Injuries are a part of the game. Do like LeBron does and roid up before and after

Huge news.

Fatigue can lead to injury.

You mean you joints are more likely to get damaged if your muscles can't keep things in place.... Wow.

Or die when the AC not working.

Weight contributes, too. Cousins would've done well to be 25 pounds lighter, tbh.

You don't think pre-existing strain is a factor? I don't think you have to be a doctor to get this, tbh.

Would be more likely than fatigue tbh.

:wtf

for starters, when you're fatigued you have sloppy movements, your joints get less muscle support, you're more likely to fall and make mistakes

And too much artificial sweetner can lead to cancer. There a lot of things that can contribute to injuries, fatique being one of them. This is non news.

You can't convince him otherwise. He has his beliefs that rest is pointless

bizarre. anyone who's been in a gym knows fatigue leads to poor form and injury. i pulled something in my knee a few days ago and i'm convinced it was too much training volume and insufficient sleep

ffs, you dont build muscle in the weight room. you build it in bed.

Keepin' it real

Agreed. But there has been a lot of debate this year here about how necessary is to rest players. One of the things mentioned is that stars used to play a lot more back in the day, as an argument in favor of not resting. I think it's interesting to consider pace as a factor since the game is different now in that aspect.
