If the narrative that da kang needs to join a super team to beat gs is true then I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kawhi traded out east. Can’t see him going west but then again there’s only one Popovich to go around sooooo maybe. It’ll be interesting to see how this shit plays out come July if Kawhi doesn’t sign the Supermax and this thing drags out longer than it should. Kawhi needs serious talent around him. Niggz needs a few dolla bills to play with and not qtrs lmao oh Max k.

If he asks out, then I guess it's a different story, but if not, it'd take a lot for me to want to trade him.

I was at that game, too. Everything you said is true. The guy was a wrecking machine AND he got his in the flow of the game. However, his jumper is still a work in progress, as his stats show. He has shot over 52% of his shots at the rim where he is over 72%. Beyond the arc he is a hair over 30%, inside the paint - 35%, and inside the arc - 40%. In truth, Giannis' game is altogether different from Kawhi's.

Let's see how he does in the playoffs. I'm a shooter myself and am not impressed until I see him start hitting shots in the playoffs before I'll say he's legit. Let's see how he does when defenses focus in on him and how he performs in crunch time.
Basically, my opinion on him is that he's a very gifted person physically. I'm not impressed with his overall skills. Same goes for Westbrook. I'm not impressed with his skills at all.

Giannis had a 30-point game with an incredible 68% TS in Game 5 and a 34-point game with a 59% TS in Game 6 against Toronto last year. I think he can hit shots in the playoffs. The Giannis hate/jealousy on this site is just strange.

Yeah, not that high on Simmons either.
Look, all I'm saying is that until I see him dominating a playoffs series against a good defensive team I can't agree with the top 5 player talk. Is easier to hide flaws in the regular season where 70% of the teams are mediocre to bad and where no team specially plans to stop you. Another thing is to hide those flaws in the playoffs against a good team with it's mind set on stopping you.
And the Shaq comparison is dumb. One was a center and arguably the most dominant player ever and the other is a perimeter player.

Jordan got to the league at age 21, he got the Bulls to the playoffs in all his seasons, got a better record each year and by season 4 he already had made the ECF. Giannis is on season 5 and he has yet to learn to shoot or make it past the first round in the only two times he got there.

last year they lost games 5 and 6 to Toronto in games where he shot 12-18 for 30 points, and 13-23 for 34 points. his scoring ability was never the problem, so its retarded to point to his jump shooting ability is such a big factor for their team success. he shot 53.6% from the field in that whole series and even hit 40% of his threes :lol

I didn't dismiss anything. I just said that until he shows me more I can't place him over guys like Lebron, Durant, Kawhi, Curry, Harden, Westbrook and some others. So, no in the top 5.
BTW, where do you rank Giannis, or are you arguing for the sake of arguing?
i have in comfortably in the top 10. i dont have him above lebron, kawhi, curry, durant. i think he's right there in the next tier with harden/westbrook, so somewhere between 5-7

Seriously sons, is such a crime to wait for the kid to start winning with some kind of consistency before proclaiming him the greatest thing since sliced bread? :lol

that's a ridiculous standard :lol... if giannis doesn't match jordan's accomplishments, he can't be a top 5 player in today's nba
No, but he can start by at least getting one of those, tbh.

I don't think I have said that, but anyways I have spent the last 10 to 15 posts on this thread making my point clear yet you continue to argue something you agree with. :lol

Top 5 best Players right now. "I'm Starting a Team" Players:
Top 4 no order, Kawhi, Lebron, Durant, Steph.
Then we got 2 other MVP caliber players Russ and Harden.
I don't see Giannis in the top 5.

I take that back. My top 6 can all lead a team.

:lol Frauden hasn't led shit. Morey would trade him for Giannis right now if he could.

Been in the top 3 conversation 3 years running. I still got to give him the nod over someone who hasn't don't jack. :lol

All I know? When I saw him play the Spurs he looked on a whole nother level than anyone else on the floor. Even my wife said that guy is doing everything during that game. He plays that way regularly. I have him above Harden personally. Harden plays no D. Giannis will block your shot into the 3rd row.

Look, he's a top 10 player, but he's definitely not top 5 yet. Doesn't mean he won't be, or won't be soon, but I wouldn't take him if I could choose 5 players to take into the playoffs with me this season, he wouldn't be on my list. There's easily 5 players I'd take ahead of him, maybe more. He'd probably be in the 7-10 range for me.
