Will Hunting.. monosylab1k...tell me about Malcolm Butler. Apparently DeAndre Hopkins is trying to recruit him to come to Houston. Houston has loads of cap space and the secondary was awful last year, so he'd get playing time if he earned it. Not sure how much he's going to want, but is he worth a long term deal?

Are the texans the most irrelevant team in the NFL tbh?

He was pretty mediocre this year but the team treated him like shit...in 2015 and 2016 he played at an elite level.

Thanks. Hoping they go after him or Kyle Fuller.

The Saints went after him hard last offseason and he wanted to come apparently but he was a restricted free agent. Interesting to see how the Saints approach him this offseason.

He’s not worth the price he’ll command, but he’s a solid corner who Bill treated like shit for whatever reason. If he wasn’t benched Pats fans would be celebrating 6 tbh.

I don't really mind overpaying for him tbh. Houston has the money to do it and desperately needs help in the secondary.

FWIW ex Charger Nick Hardwick now has radio show on local 1360. He said his sauses said Butler was out toking and did break curfew.
He did give some hints about his sause saying it was local MN law enforcement who leaked.

Texans reportedly close to getting extensions done with Clowney and Mercilus. Now they just need to keep everyone healthy.

It’s been time to fire him. I think the disease though is McNair. Never makes the right move when needed

I thought they might have stumbled upon something last season with the offense, but he changed it again and it right back to the same hot garbage it has been for years

Indeed. Predictable offense.

May have to draft a QB after the season.

It’s time to blow the team up. You have all your weapons on both sides of the ball, fully healthy and you’re 0-3. It’s not just coaching but the talent is obviously not what people think. It’s panic time

Actually coaching is 90% of the problem. The other 10 is the offensive line.

I don’t know man. I think coaching plays a large role, but I also think that you have to really look inside at an 0-3 team that has their weapons.

Honestly I blame the coaching as well. The stars on both sides of the ball are getting theirs, but they don't have the explosiveness shown last year. The games are close and the defense--although underwhelming so far--hasn't gotten their doors blown off. Offense needs to carry this team, and a tweak to the coaching staff might be just what they need. The AFC looks like dogshit this year, so 0-3 isn't necessarily a death sentence, if they act quickly

Texans oline is complete trash. Coaching is obviously a huge issue too. Watson is gonna get hurt again if this keeps up.

Texans pick up Thomas from Denver for a 4th. Nice move in the wake of the Fuller injury

I was shocked when the Texans were 0-3, what was that about? Watson will eventually move into that elite status if he can stay on the field. I don't mind scrambling but he has to stop the running. Newton the obvious exception.
Thomas a plus.

Thomas is a Dez Bryant like receiver. Not at all a speedster or a great route runner and can go through drop phases. He's one of the best in the league at winning contested jump balls, however, he can run a mean slant, and he can truck through a secondary for some big time Y.A.C.
He won't replace Will Fuller, because Fuller is fast and DT isn't.
