They should have held firm back then, and it might mean they’d be better off now. I don’t believe LeBron when he says he didn’t know about the Kyrie deal or was pissed about it. Front office knows LeBron is a FA at the end of the season. They can’t trade Kyrie without LeBron’s knowledge and without at least his tacit acknowledgment, if not approval. LeBron just trying to save face by shifting the blame to ownership and front office. Realistically, since he returned, they haven’t done shit without his input.
