The moment we signed Aldridge and Gasol and went from a fast-paced dynamic 3-point shooting team to a slow-paced, 2-point jump shooting team, this team was dead in the water. We haven't been watching Spurs basketball since 2015.

At this point Pop's arrogance is what is holding the Spurs back. Aldridge was giving us an out this summer when he very clearly sent the message that he wanted out. We tried hard at the draft to trade him, but the rumor is we weren't able to get a 1st round pick for him. Apparently, many teams agreed with Paul Pierce's comments at the time "I wouldn't trade Lamarcus Aldridge for me".

And then you add all of Pop's political comments which have alienated half of the fanbase. It's just not the same. I feel like there's absolutely no hope as the team is currently constructed. I don't think Kawhi even wants to come play for this team right now.
