View Full Version : What if the Spurs miss the playoffs?

The 9th seed team (Clippers) is only 3 games behind and given the current playing level it could happen tbh.
Which players wouldn't return next season?
How would this affect Kawhi's potential resigning?
Could the Spurs "tank" if elimination looks more and more likely?

This won't affect Kawhi signing since the Spurs will make the playoffs this year.

Which players wouldn't return next season? Who the F knows. Pets Patty, Gasol, Forbes and Parker are the only locks.

How would this affect Kawhi's potential resigning? Whether they miss or make and get run in the 1st round again makes no difference. If they miraculously make the 2nd round I don't think that will affect Kawhi one bit. Bigger difference is whether or not he plays in the playoffs.

Could the Spurs "tank" if elimination looks more and more likely? Of course they could but they won't.

the Sun still rises and sets, the bird's still chirp. The rooster still roosts. The cows still moo.
SaHurl types paragraphs that contradict each other or are complete utter bullshit in each one of that lezzers shitty posts.

I’d feel comfortable putting a good chunk of money on not missing the playoffs. I get the last few games are reason for concern and whether or not Pop is nearing the time to call it quits, but there’s enough left in the tank to at least make the playoffs. I’m not being a ra-ra guy here but c’mon, we’re talking about playoffs

If the Spurs miss the playoffs then there won't be any playoff games for the Spurs. And we will all watch some other team win and lose playoff games.

If the Spurs don't make the playoffs it will only be because Kawhi and Gay didn't make it back this season. Otherwise, as long as they get healthy, they will make the playoffs.

This won't affect Kawhi signing since the Spurs will make the playoffs this year. Yes they will! Plus Kawhi is not a FA ....he doesn’t have a player option until 19/20.

Spurs aren't missing the playoffs unless LMAlpha goes down with a serious injury in March..........knowing our luck.

On the real, I still think that the Spurs get the 3rd seed. Minny and OKC have been underwhelming even with relative health compared to the Spurs I don't have a lot of confidence in them surpassing us in the standings. Even if Minny were to get the 3rd and OKC gets the 4th then I would probably favor the Spurs vs. OKC in the 4-5 matchup with or without Kawhi.

As long as LMA's heart problems don't return we'll be good.

the spurs would have to pull a major tank job to sink into the bottom 7 or 8 teams.
