I liked it. Don't really follow the Iron Man and Avenger movies and some characters I just didn't read. Will watch Infinity Wars, though I might be disillusioned with it. I'm fond of my nostalgic memories and don't like to see characters/stories the way I remember them not the same. Started after the first XMen movie. Haven't watched one second of Transformers for that exact reason.

Hard to not talk about the impact the books/comics made on how you perceived the movie.
I had read all the REH Conans long before the movies, so I was totally excited to see CONAN on the big screen. Knew all about Thor and Norse mytholology long before the movies. Yep, excited to see THOR on the silver screen. Literary characters, myths far more interesting to me than comic book heros, and I'm into comic books heros.
So with that said.
1.Conan... more about the character than a particular movie
2.Thor...same here
3.Tarzan...yep, same thing.
4.Hercules....the 1959 Steve Reeves classic
5.The Hulk...as a group
If Hollywood ever gets serious about the albino prince Elric (a Michael Moorcock creation) with his vampiric runeblade Stormbringer, this could be the greatest heroic fantasy flick ever, IF....done exactly the way Moorcock wrote it.

Dude, grow the fuck up, ok ya little shit?
Here ya go midget.
Michael John Moorcock (born 18 December 1939) is an English (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/English_people) writer, primarily of science fiction (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Science_fiction) and fantasy (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Fantasy_fiction), who has also published literary novels (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Literary_novels). He is best known for his novels about the character Elric of Melniboné (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Elric_of_Melnibon%C3%A9), a seminal influence on the field of fantasy in the 1960s and 1970s.
As editor of the British science fiction magazine New Worlds (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/New_Worlds_(magazine)), from May 1964 until March 1971 and then again from 1976 to 1996, Moorcock fostered the development of the science fiction "New Wave" (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/New_Wave_science_fiction) in the UK and indirectly in the United States. His publication of Bug Jack Barron (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Bug_Jack_Barron) by Norman Spinrad (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Norman_Spinrad) as a serial novel was notorious; in Parliament some British MPs condemned the Arts Council (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Arts_Council) for funding the magazine.[2] (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/#cite_note-2) He is also a successful recording musician, contributing to the band Hawkwind (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Hawkwind), and his own project.
In 2008, The Times (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/The_Times) newspaper named Moorcock in its list of "The 50 greatest British writers (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/British_literature) since 1945".[3] (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/#cite_note-top50-3)

Forgot about Logan. That's number 3 on my list.
Logan
Spider man the first movie (Let’s be honest, we have this movie to thank for all the superhero movies that followed it)
Batman The Dark Knight
Dr. Strange
And I’m not sure this qualifies as a superhero movie movie but in my opinion it should.
The Matrix 1.
Avengers is hard to beat.
Dark Knight was ok only because of Ledger.

Honerable mentions to Superman: the Movie and Batman, but I just don't find myself wanting to ever watch those. Both Logan and Deadpool I think are overrated.

Spider man the first movie (Let’s be honest, we have this movie to thank for all the superhero movies that followed it)
I think X-Men (which came out two years earlier), while probably not as big, was just as responsible for the modern wave of comic book movies.

I was only 2 years old when Barbarian came out. I was brought up on Destroyer which has more of a nostalgic calling for me, but I will acknowledge that Barbarian is a superior movie, just not my favorite. I didn't get to see Barbarian until I was well into my teens unfortunately. The same goes for Red Sonya which was apparently relevant to the storyline.
