Look at what all those western movies did to Kim Jong-Il though. Hollywood has to at least take some of the blame for his death camps.

Yep, Australia got rid of all their movies 20 years ago and hasn't had a mass shooting since.

I still can't believe grandpa didn't realize video games and movies already have ratings.

This argument has been around since literacy became normal. Books are corrupting our youth... then it was music, movies, video games, and so on. The thing is, video games have had a rating system for years. Now if you wanted to make the argument that smart phones and social media are rotting our kids' heads... that I could probably get behind.

What is it that makes American's so prone to commit mass murder though? That's the issue no one talks about. The Swiss have a proportionate gun to people ratio, on par with us and their system is background check based. So why does our society beget so many homicidal maniacs that act out in rage? It's something in society exclusive to our culture, so what is it and why isn't there more people trying to focus on that end of the talk?

Agreed. America’s culture has been toxic from the beginning, and that’s the real problem. However, is it easier to change an entire society’s culture or is it easier to just take guns away? I have no clue, but personally I think taking guns away seems to be the easier solution. Generally for a country to drastically change it’s culture in a short time period, it’s because that country has just gotten their ass kicked in a war and been bombed into near oblivion.

Honestly, I never really looked at it that way, but to be fair, that is completely valid and makes logistical and practical sense.

Well if anything is going to turn 4chan against this President, I think we've found it.

It works in prisons. They cannot change the people, but they can render them unable to overpower the place.

Hate. This nation is built on hate. There's no privacy. Too many people believe the future is pointless for them, because some event happened that will stick with them forever. They see no reason to not kill themselves, and since they hate, they want to inflict damage in the process. What they cannot fuck or eat they shit on.
