Things keep getting better and better.... for war

Long before Haspel became the #2 official at America’s premiere intelligence agency, however, she played a significant role in the Bush administration’s attempts to extract information from detainees through torture.

As the New York Times reported last year, “as a clandestine officer at the Central Intelligence Agency in 2002, Gina Haspel oversaw the torture of two terrorism suspects and later took part in an order to destroy videotapes documenting their brutal interrogations at a secret prison in Thailand.”

Nevertheless, Haspel reportedly ran an overseas detention site in Thailand, where two men were tortured. According to the New York Times, one detainee, Abu Zubaydah, was “waterboarded 83 times in a single month, had his head repeatedly slammed into walls and endured other harsh methods before interrogators decided he had no useful information to provide.”

New CIA Director Gina Haspel Oversaw Torture at a Black Site Then Lost Evidence of It

As "chief of base" of a CIA Black Site in Thailand,

Haspel oversaw the torture and waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah,

who still hasn't been charged with a crime.

Haspel famously ran the CIA’s first black site prison in Thailand during the early days of the War on Terror.

Haspel has tortured people,

overseen the torture of people, and

destroyed the evidence of said torture.

We know this because of cables the CIA declassified describing the torture.

In August 2002, the CIA captured Abu Zubaydah—former manager of a training camp in Afghanistan—and began to torture him at a black site in Thailand while Haspel was running it.

The Senate’s infamous torture report (https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/CRPT-113srpt288.pdf) also details the torture of Zubaydah while he was in Haspel’s custody.

So it goes like this. Donald got elected. He makes the decision, we disagree on much of it. Donald put a guy up for an appeals court judge that knew nothing about the law, nothing! This candidate does have some training in the CIA. But hater is NOW outraged at Donald while his favorite big dck Vlad P daddy kills opposition candidates? And you are worried about the CIA rolling the dice? Give us a break. And....

GTFOH.

Seriously.
Your inconsistencies are comical.

Euphemisms can actually be funny and sad.

Like attenuation of the taint:
pulling the scrotum and anal cavity in opposite directions to inflict pain to the crotch area

So you get info buy pulling naughty bits away from each other and its admissible in court.
Its all good, a bit of attenuation of the taint broke the bastard wide open, literally and figuratively...

So, I could not do this to an animal. I'm out of the team. pgardn's not in with the pulling of body orifices and ball-securing flappy sacs, get him to leave the room.

Luckily for our enemies we usually stick to water-boarding.

Yeah.

Attenuating the taint often involves removing any grundle butter in the taint area so... I'm not up for that cleaning prior to the torture either. So you go ahead and water board cause I want no part of any of it.

Zubaydah, who was waterboarded a total 83 times and who lost his eye while in custody, yielded no valuable intelligence on future attacks on the United States. The government has dropped its case against Zubaydah, who it no longer believes was a high-ranking member of Al Qaeda, but he remains in Guantanamo Bay prison to this day.

According to a book later written by one of the psychologists who helped devise the interrogation techniques, the black site's chief of base came to Zubaydah’s holding cell at one point to compliment him on his "performance." “Good job!,” that person, now identified as Haspel, reportedly said. "I like the way you're drooling; it adds realism. I'm almost buying it. You wouldn’t think a grown man would do that." The European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, a Berlin-based NGO, has called for Haspel's arrest for her role in the torture of detainees.

Won't someone think of the terrorists and their feelings! You apologize for torture. Count me unsurprised.

26 of 119 people we tortured were detained in error. Even if torture were conscionable, that's a very high error rate.

The same is true of an even higher proportion of detainees overall. The reason GWB released so many of them without charges of any kind is that we had no good cause to detain them in the first place.

Once Abu Zubaydah was said to be one of the most important al Qaeda captives of all. An infamous August 2002 memo from the Justice Department, instrumental to authorizing the CIA to torture him—and after him, at least 118 others—called him the “third or fourth man in al Qaeda. (https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Torture_Memos/X4BQzsydoJsC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=%22though+only+31,+rose+quickly+from+very+low+l evel+mujahedin+to+third+or+fourth+man+in+al+Qaeda. +He+has+served+as+Usama+Bin+Laden%E2%80%99s+senior +lieutenant%22&pg=PT97&printsec=frontcover)” But there were doubts inside the CIA at the outset. According to the landmark Senate torture report (https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/publications/CRPT-113srpt288.pdf), on Aug. 16, 2006 the agency formally concluded that Abu Zubaydah “was not a member of al Qaeda.”

Instead of freeing him, the U.S. brought Abu Zubaydah to Guantanamo Bay the following month, where he became the forgotten man he currently is.

“The torture and detention without charge or trial of Abu Zubaydah for 19 years epitomizes the worst of the War on Terror,” said Duffy, his attorney. “As the 20th anniversary looms, it’s past time to release him, to reveal the truth about his case, and to commit to effective security based on the rule of law."
