Try wrapping your head around this ruling:

Judge Gregory Keosian stated that being misidentified as transgender does not inherently expose someone to "hatred, contempt, ridicule or obloquy," and therefore does not rise to the level of defamation.
"While, as a practical matter, the characteristic may be held in contempt by a portion of the population, the court will not validate those prejudices by legally recognizing them," Keosian ruled.

The case arose from Dick Simmons suing after the National Enquirer and some other rag falsely labeled him as tranny. Dick flames, no doubt, but they went wayy overboard and plastered their false shit all over supermarkets across the U.S.

Not only did this judge rule no damage was done, he ordered Dick to pay the National Enquirer $130,000. :lmao

I can see the OP's point and the slippery slope issue.

Suppose a non-transgender applied for a job that specifically required a non-transgender employee. But the boss believed a rumor that said applicant was transgender and did not give the
person the job. But instead gave it to a less qualified non-transgender.

But then at the end of the race, just before he gets the $1,000,000 prize and trophy, the judge hears the rumor about him being transgender.
Then they give the money and trophy to some dude in a wheelchair.
And when the original non-transgender tries to speak up, a German Shepard that's been trained to kill transgenders, mauls him to death.

Here's another one.

Suppose the non-transgender guy is on a cruise and everyone is partying.
And then they announce the contest for hottest transgender.
Because of the rumor, the non-transgender guy gets pulled on stage and his pants are pulled down and he ends up winning the prize.
But then, all of the transgenders start to rub his penis and realize that he is actually non-transgender.
Then they beat him to death for fraud.

It wasn't exactly an inspired decision to post her pic. I guess I was thinking of the Rate Her thread and then just decided to randomly post it in here.

Then for some reason I wanted to make another random post. So I Googled, "crazy Alex Rodriguez". Thinking I might see a gif or pic of him with a crazy expression.
But then saw the pic with him and J-Lo and figured that was just as good.
