Both Phil and Riley are shockingly overrated as coaches. They have always been winning with lower and stacked teams, never introduced any new innovative systems into the league, never made chicken salad out of chikenshit. They win with rosters that were supposed to win championships.

Riley was a phenomenal GM. And both of them were fantastic ego managers, millionaire baby sitters if you will.

Daly, Larry Brown, Hubie Brown and Jack Ramsey though were real coaches.

Dantoni and Adelman were great assistant coaches that got head coaching jobs.
