On questions of national unity, Trudeau said he would support Quebec separatism under certain circumstances and that the country suffers when people from Alberta are in charge.

On foreign policy, Trudeau said he admired China’s “basic dictatorship,” that Harper only wanted to bomb ISIS so he could “whip out” Canada’s CF18s to “show them how big they are,” and he joked that Russia invaded Ukraine because Putin was angry about a hockey game.
