Jazz got over losing Hayward very quickly by drafting this kid. He's a much better prospect for the Jazz than Hayward ever was.

The Mormons in Utah deserved a break like this after having to watch Hayward and Stockton try and win in an athlete's league, tbh..

Ehh. I am a Louisville fan so am pretty familiar with him. He is basically a volumn scorer at this point though. Still really like him, not sure I agree with other saying he can be a superstar though. Is a pretty nice guy off the court as well which is cool.

Homosexuals tend to be really nice or really catty. Mitchell falls into the former category.

Indiana and Utah have bounced back after losing their star players in Hayward and George. Seeing how both of these teams are from small markets gives me hope the Spurs would still be able to be decent if they lose Kawhi granted it will probably be a long time before they contend again for a title. I would love to see the Spurs win a title again but if they can't I would settle just for having an exciting product on the floor. This year's team hasn't been exciting to watch.

At least he took them. Also .43 FG% and .34 3P% aren't bad for a rookie.

He's just 19 years old...I rather have a mf eating shots than timid guys that can't even shoot. This is a perimeter-oriented league, a team needs guards that can score at this volumen to win

Yep. I'm OK with a 21 year old not afraid to take shots. He's not shooting too bad for a 21 year old rookie that has been put into the role of being "the man" on a playoff level team. The previous game Utah played against the Spurs, he showed he has the balls to take and make big shots.

Edit : I got his age wrong, thought I read someone mention he was 19. Still impressive on what he's doing. How many times has Kawhi scored over 27+ points in a game at OKC? I'm not sure Kawhi's even done that once at OKC in a playoff game, has he? That's a hard place to play at in the regular season partly due to the fans, let alone the playoffs.

Ya utah traded away hood just to make sure Donovan could flourish at the same posi. Spurs would of prioritized their culture guys before giving a rook a go.

A rookie leading his team to a first round playoff win is pretty damn impressive. 38 points on pretty damn efficient shooting in a close out game, he shows unreal poise for a rookie. As a big Louisville fan glad to see him and Rozier succeeding.

Nope, funny thing is he wasn't all that great at Louisville. I mean go look at his stats, its really weird. His shooting % was actually quite a bit worse there. He wasn't a very good 3 pt shooter either, and that was with the line being closer. Quite bizarre tbh.

Glad to see him succeeding though.

I just looked at the stats. Pretty amazing what he's doing. I guess the kid's just a gamer. Getting to the top level has pushed him up. I saw all these flashes of greatness in Summer League, but I didn't think he'd play like this, this soon.

What's your opinion on Terry Rozier?

If Utah believe in themselves they could get really scary very soon. They have a pretty nice core - and a couple more pieces would make them top 3 in the league.

They may already be that. I think the only better teams are Dubs and Rockets. And Boston with a healthy Kyrie.

And do not be surprised if they upset Houston.

Think Utah coaches staff has done a great job of getting the best out of him, he landed in a pretty nice situation and has taken full advantage, he is actually a super nice guy as well which is a breathe of fresh air.

Terry is ok. He was probably actually better in college than Mitchell, not sure how he will be in the pros. My biggest issue with him is he is basically a 2, but in a Point guards body. He isn't a terrific shooter to compensate for it either. Rooting for him, but honestly not sure how he will pan out because of his physical limitations. We will see though.
