Murray is such a fucking retard. All-irrational confidence team member.

I think he was willing to go for a quick-two there and was trying to get Murray to drive and either make the basket or kick it out.
This. Murray apologists can blame Pop all they want. It was a boneheaded play.

Wow, call a timeout pls. Not sure I trust any of the 3 guards on the court to get a 3 on the fly like that.
DJ had played adequately enough not to be replaced by TP or god forbid Forbes.
That last play though... blame goes to Pop, then the team on the court not getting into motion. DJ is a fucking kid tbh, and not one you can trust to make something happen in that juncture of a game
Poop should've definitely called a timeout but DJ is a fucking retard too. Who the fuck does he think he is dancing around and pulling up for a three? Penetrate and get a quick 2/kick it out to a teammate who can actually shoot if the defense collapses.

I'm as okay with this as I can be for a lost (and not just because I have LMA, Green and Mid in fantasy). Pau came to life again, Gay looked good for the most part (except he let Shabazz son him on the boards like 10 times in a row). They guys who will have to hold the fort going forward did their jobs. The defense was good, despite the score. The Bucks made a number of contested jumpers to expand their final lead. The rebounding was apparently good too, even though it looked like dogshit to me.

I think he was willing to go for a quick-two there and was trying to get Murray to drive and either make the basket or kick it out. It wasn't a bad idea considering MKE had guys like Henson and Giannis on the floor who can't be relied on to shoot 2/2 in clutch moments. With the way the team had been shooting threes, I don't think it's absurd to not rely on them getting a good shot at the end.
Or maybe Murray expected the Bucks to play the %'s and foul in that situation. Pop should have been the adult and called the time out and taken the ball out of Murray's hands.

Murray didn't even look at the sideline. No chance for play or a time out. Young Westbookian stupid.
Unless they changed the rule, the coach can call timeout.

Pop coaching the closing seconds like he had TP, TD and Manu out there.
Last game, we saw he finally learned to foul when up 3. Maybe soon, he'll learn not to tell his inexperienced PG to hurry and run a play when he still has a timeout in his pocket.

Why would he look at the sideline? Poop wasn't calling a play. He was just winding his arm in a circular motion basically saying to hurry up.
Im willing to bet on Pop's mothers life that he was drunk during this game. Seriously. He gave it away when he was telling the ref Murray was pushed out of bounds when there wasn't a Buck within a 20 foot radius

Murray never should have had the ball in the first place. He should've been in a corner if they wanted to leave him open for a three, then that's the only reason to be settling for a Murray three.
So he got the board and dribbled across the court to heave a desperation 3? WTF? I don't care how young he is, that was fucking stupid.

There was a good 8 seconds before anyone other than Murray decided to move on offense. Pop should've used the timeout. Period.

Pop often will not call a timeout in that situation, in order to keep the defense scrambled.
Considering the guy with the ball is 21 with little experience in that spot, I probably would have burned my last one to set something up.

Think that was about the average for our guards...so sure, but blame them all.
So glad Pops focus after the game was Trump not attending the gun protests instead of the Spurs blowing yet another road game and continuing to take backward steps in trying to get home court in the first round.

:lmao At the Spurs' luck. Naturally, Antetokounmpo had to play, he had to make 3 3s and the Wizards, who they just beat 4 days ago, play next and have been struggling recently, had to lose at home to the Knicks. Watch Wall make an unexpectedly early return.

And throughout all of this Pop has kept White in the gleague and will ride Forbes...

He's always been almost useless on the road. One of the points I've brought up the past couple of years about him.
He's one of the worst road performing regular rotation players in Spurs history, yet he still gets big/decent minutes in road games. His 3 point shooting percentage is usually terrible on the road. I'm not sure what it is this season, but when I looked last season, there was a big difference between his home and away 3 point shooting. I think the 2015/2016 season was similar.

I am not sure what has happened with Rudy this season. I assume a bit of the decline is the fact he's been coming back from an injury (early season he appeared to be in minutes restrictions since Pop strove to keep his minutes between 20-24. Once he's come back from the bursitis, his minutes rarely top 20. He perhaps has not been 100% and has some post game soreness or just things we don't know about that would cause Pop to be OCD with his minutes.
"Not this Gay" is a known clutch mothaf*cka when it comes to closing games so it's just weird seeing Pop not utilize him in moments like that. At least a couple of games (the GSW game they lost when Bryn Forbes failed to make a game tying 3 was one), I would have liked to have seen Gay get minutes to close it out.
At this point, I wonder if Rudy is just opting out and not coming back next season... It's just weird.

I don't think he will opt out since I can't see him getting a great offer on the open market that would be more than what he's scheduled to make next year.

(i had to look it up)
It must have been longer than I thought when I last checked. He definitely had a couple of seasons where he was worse on the road. I just checked your link and it was the two seasons prior to the past two (2014-2015 and 2015-2016) where he was worse on the road. Either way, the difference isn't much this season as he only makes 1.7 threes at home Vs 1.9 on the road. Pretty poor that he makes less than 2 three pointers a game when that is the main reason he's on the court for.
Spurs really do have some shit 3 point specialists on the team.
