Are you so partisan you can't admit timing of heightened military presense in the area and pending sanctions might have played a part?

Are you so partisan you can't admit timing of heightened military presense in the area and pending sanctions might have played a part? Not much, unless you're saying Trump really wanted to go to war.

Are you saying that?

DPRK's negotiating power will never be higher than now. Looks like they negotiated with Xi.

So Xis decision to back down NK was just arbitrarily made in a vacuum? Could have just as easily done it when Bush was president?

If it actually shakes out you'd have to give Trump huge credit. But we'd need regular UN inspections like with Saddam. If true I imagine he negotiated a treaty with China that would assure them declaring war on us if we ever attacked or invaded the DPRK, as we typically do when getting a dictator to give up a nuclear program.

The trick back then would have been following through with our bribes. We did not do that.

So the difference was DPRK had nukes?

DPRK has had nukes for 12 years. Why not then? Why now?

Or maybe China finally knows how Trump's tiny brain works and told them to just lie about it and he'll buy it because he's desperate for a win.

North Korea is going to willingly give up their nukes just as much as Russia wants to be our "friend." :lol Trumpers are so gullible.

You gotta wonder if this is just China telling the US to fuck off though, and affirming their alliance to North Korea. If China is supposed to be the one responsible for policing the alleged North Korean denuclearization then this is more like a warning shot from China to Trump and Bolton.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a more formal security agreement between the two countries, for example.

Its been pretty clear China would backstop the DPNK since they crossed the Yalu in 1950. I'm fine with them formalizing the deal as long as fatboy gives up the nukes.

If China really makes them give up their missiles that carry the warheads, and the warheads, this is huge. China is infinitely more stable than a NK with a family member having a decision. Next step, feed their people. People are taking great liberty in assigning praise.

It is a good thing. But it's not going to happen so stop acting like it's a done deal.

By the way, whatever deal would be struck, it is clear who the deal would be for and benefit more. China and North Korea.

The fact that China has excluded the US in any negotiation and when you look where South Korea is in all this should tell you a lot.

South Korea were the ones to actually get the ball rolling. In the end, China scooped them. Neither the US or SK were in any way involve in this latest development of denuclearization.

We have no leverage on them anymore. Imposing tarriffs on China was a shithead move that allowed them the freedom to go straight to the source and make their own deal without the orange buffon.

Even one nuke on Us mainland would be devastating for US. It would be equivalent to 1000 september 11s.

The economy would crash, food supplies would drop and nuclear fallout would force millions to relocate

Sure NK would be wiped out to as well as SK and part of china

Kim Kong is a damn genius to give that up for guaranteed security for his empire for the rest of his life and opening up of world market to NK

Lets see what happens. I dont see US doing this
