Deserved. I've long said I thought Sean Elliott would be an MVP candidate coming out of college; he was that good at Zona. But obviously he under performed based on my expectations in the pros; though, Spurs fans are appreciative all the same.

Larry Brown pretty much ruined him his first two seasons. He also had the bad luck to debut with an All time great and HOF player in a shared rookie year.

Whipping boy. David was the golden child. Sean pretty much wasn’t allowed to make a mistake. When you play not to make mistakes, your ceiling is pretty low.

Pop is his protege. That’s every rookie that comes through S.A. And people wonder why they look so scared out there. Dude fucks with their head.
