However, it doesn't pay on the first 41 games the player misses and then only 80 percent of the salary for games after that. Even if this qualifies, the Spurs are getting back only like a quarter of the money they've given to Kawhi.

LMA is a keeper. Had my doubts about him the initial season but he's proven to be a true beast on the Spurs. I just want Kawhi off the team at this point if this injury drama continues into the summer.
