My order (from most to least preferable)

1. Minnesota
2. Denver
3. Portland
4. New Orleans
5. Utah
6. Oklahoma City
7. Golden State (Only if minus Curry)
8. Houston

Yeah, I know its probably impossible for us to meet Denver or Minnesota this year, but I wanted a complete list.

GSW. Play them while LMA is playing all-NBA level basketball and Curry is out or hobbled. The longer the playoffs go on, the likelier GSW regains full strength and LMA comes back down to earth.

Blazers or Minnesota, since Denver isn't realistic..

Portland doesn't play at a high pace and they have an average 3-point rate, the Spurs match up well vs. their style.. they would still win the series since the Spurs can't win on the road, but SA would at least have a shot at it..

They were missing Ed Davis in yesterday's game, which has hurt them significantly, since he's by far their most important bench player(and arguably the best bench big in the league)..Harkless has struggled, but he's another piece they were missing, he would match up well vs. Gay..

Minnesota is obvious..their bench is horrendous, which still matters, even with their starters playing heavy minutes in the playoffs..low-IQ players, Aldridge usually dominate Towns, Green has defended Butler very well..

More importantly, they shoot the least amount of 3s in the league and they play at a slow pace, especially with Butler in the lineup..

Harkless needed a surgery...Ed Davis will be re-evaluated just when playoffs start... Both players could miss the first games of the series.

Good call on Harkless, I just read that he could be back in the 1st round, though..

Ed Davis will be back, he was actually targeting last night's game for a return IIRC..they'll probably hold him out until the Jazz game if they still need it IMO..

They've been the best team in the NBA since Jan 1st. If the Dubs aren't at least 90% for the second round I could see them having problems. No Curry and they legitimately lose.

I have a conundrum with the Warriors. On one hand, I want them to lose really bad; on the other hand, if the Warriors look beatable in the playoffs, and do end up getting defeated, it just adds more pain to this lost season.

Warriors first, Houston second

I don't want Portland. Their venomous media would bombard Aldridge with questions to make him look stupid for leaving, rubbing his face in Kawhi not being there, pressing him to talk about how good Lillard and McCollum are, etc.

There's a risk of it sending him into a downward funk cycle, undoing how far he's come.

And if they beat GSW, it's the ultimate organizational response to Kawhi hiding in New York with his supposed rehab. There's not a damn thing he's doing there he couldn't do in SA: foam rolling, dry needling, cryo, inversion, bands, pool, etc etc.

And as a bonus, the 7th seed equals what, the 19th pick? Give me that.

Yeah, the idea that Portland is some media nightmare for LMA is crazy. That's even more true since the Spurs would have HCA in any possible first-round matchup with Portland and would probably win that series.

we can beat them if they're down Elianfaggot. Durant alone isn't good enough. That's about like the early 2010s Thunder teams if you take out a better shooting version of Westbrook. Gaymond=Ibaka. Klay is a bit better than Thabo, I guess. But he's definitely no Harden. Maybe on the same level as Reggie Jackson.

It's the opposite. They won't press him I guess LMA expects this series, he'll take care of beating Dame. Do you don't see the pic of both last SAS/POR game? Too much tension there.

Also, he won't care about Kawhi media's questions. LMA is one of the few guys being benefited by Kawhi's absence.

Blazers is without a doubt the best playoffs' matchup for the Spurs.

Thompson and Jackson are completely different, though. I said same level. Jackson can create for himself, Thompson fails miserably when he tries most of the time, and he's not a great ballhandler. You shoo him off the three ball and he's pretty mediocre imo.
