Raptors in 6(they always make shit harder for themselves in the playoffs. If they wrap it up in 4 or 5, it will be a good sign for them)
Celtics in 6
Sixers in 5, regardless of Embiid, playoff Ferrari leading them to a ship.
Cavs in 7(if Cavs flip the playoff switch and find some defense they could win in 5, unlikely. #HeGone)

Toronto doesn’t have more talent than the Wizards. If Washington wasn’t so dysfunctional, I’d say they’d win relatively comfortably. Even so, I’m still picking the Wiz to win outright. I don’t believe in Toronto at all.

The other really interesting match-up is Portland-New Orleans. This first round series may go a long way for the respective careers of both Lillard and Davis. Might even be a career turning point for each. Davis has been great since Boogie went down. But Lillard might be the most dynamic scorer in the league not named Harden, Durant, and Steph. He’s not a low key superstar anymore, but he still doesn’t get the love he deserves. Might be a truly epic first round series. I hope it goes 7. I’d lean towards Dame, but honestly, it’s a true toss-up.

Bucks look turrrible. And Boston seems to play well regardless of line-up and who’s in or out.

The rest I’d expect to go chalk.

As usual the Warriors get lucky by having the easiest possible matchups throughout the playoffs. While I don't believe the Jazz can beat them, I believe the Jazz will be able to give them trouble and wear them out by winning 2 games. Golbert patrolling the paint would allow their perimeter guys to stick on the shooters like glue to minimize their effectiveness. Golbert is also agile and quick enough to defend the pick and roll, and bother the shooters if need be.

if the spurs can win 1 game against the gsw, then all i can say is...last year if kawhi didnt go down, spurs wouldve won game1 and the rest of the series wouldve been questionable how many games the spurs can push that gsw team...

win or lose this year, kawhi is being traded anyway

i thought they were dead (pre trade) but with injuries to Embiid, Kyrie, Steph and the level Lebron is playing
Cavs have a legit shot ...

And if Lebron rings with love as his #2 and Jeff green as his #3 not sure it cements him as goat but sure makes a strong case for him ...Love would be one of the weakest #2 on a title team along with Thorpe and Tyson tbh...not that those guys are bad players but normally the #2's are Pippen, Pau, Worthy, Wade level at least. pippen is way better than love at least... strengthening the LeBron case ...as GOAT.

Houston not winning the title would be a historic choke job IMO, barring injury..top 3 player, top 10 player, best collection of role players in the West, top 5 coach, most intelligent style of play, injured Curry, it would be shocking if they lose at any point..

He's definitely up there..I said it for years, my biggest criticism of Morey was that he didn't fully embrace analytics in his team-building, he tried too hard to placate the old heads and conventional NBA people(even most of the Rockets fans here were against it) by running more of Howard in the post, etc..

Cleveland win title "NO" at -845 is available. There is absolutely no way they have more than a 10.5% chance at winning the title.

1st round vs IND: 86%
2nd round vs Toronto: 55%
3rd round vs healthy Philly: 60%
Finals vs GSt/Hou: 25% at absolute most.

All adds up to a 7% chance at winning the title. That's being super optimistic and assuming Lebron is on god mode

Morey's "genius" is recognizing that a 3 pointer is worth 50% more than a 2 point shot, despite being not much harder to make, and that the only 2s really worth taking are layups. Astounding insight, really. Yeah, he had to build the team, but he basically used off the shelf Moneyball theory to do so. There's nothing revolutionary in his thinking. They also got drilled by the Spurs last season (who were playing "antiquated" basketball on the backs of midrange/post up specialists like LMA and Kawhi). Doesn't take "the best GM of all-time" to go after one of the top PGs in the league during the off-season. I was skeptical how Harden and CP3 would co-exist, since both of them need the ball, but it's still a fuckin' no-brainer, with some risk, but a huge reward if it works.

Still not a Raptors believer. Seemed like they played pretty well and Wizards missed a shitload of makeable shots, and it was still really close most of the game. If Wizards lose the series, they only have themselves to blame because Toronto really ain’t that good. Regular season, Raptors were 36-5 against non-playoff teams. 23-18 against playoff teams. Inflated record. East still a shit conference.

I might still take them, we'll see..I don't think Minnesota will be able to keep up with Houston's offense and I like their matchups..a low key concern is that Mbah a Moute and Anderson are both out, which means Joe Johnson will be on the floor, ew..

Local JV girls team they won't let them shoot threes either. Everyone wants to be Curry from downtown and Eurostep from halfcourt to a layup. They are ruining the game. NBA is so inconsistant. Eventually they are going to have to push back on that. Not sure how it can get much worse.
I'm hoping the NBA juices the balls so there's even more scoring. Anything to make old people mad

Change the rules or equipment all they want. Just have consistant rules.

now the great thing about today's nba...
Young guys like Mitchell, Tatum, Simmons have all balled out in their first playoffs ...
However, what excuse does #1 overall picks KAT or Wiggins have for not being dominant in this series?!

CP0 playing like CP0 in the playoffs. Not sure why anyone is surprised. If he doesn't start showing up, I'll be curious to see who he and his fanboys blame. Can't blame Blake anymore, obviously.

Rose is clearly Thibs' version of Austin Rivers, Wes Johnson, Jamal Crawford, 80-year-old Paul Pierce, etc. An atrocious player that still gets tons of minutes due to personal biases.

That pass was one of the stupidest things I've seen. All time great talent for sure, but I'm not sure if he's an all time great player, especially if he keeps playing like this and Harden drags him to the conference finals and beyond for the first time.
