Manu was pretty solid, tbh. His shooting was good. He got into the lane and finished. He did well on defense. His playmaking for others was good.

Just like the regular season, nobody really stepped up to be a clear #2 to LMA.

I guess I'll say Manu.

Ginobili. Gay had his moments, but his defense was terrible when it mattered.

I've been watching a lot of playoff basketball and it does strike me that the Spurs just don't have any talent. This team could be really bad. They need a complete rebuild.

Mills and Gay. Manu was great the last few games.

Rudy Gay had a TS% of 44% to go along with bad defense:lol

44% for a scoring specialist who doesn't do anything else is abhorrent..

Gay was also just beyond terrible at the rim.

I’d say Manu. Without his playmaking and clutchness they don’t take game 4, or make some games including the elimination game, close.

Gay was awful. Agreed with Harlem.

Paddy shot the ball better than he did last season against them and competed really hard and that has to be admired, but he was exploited defensively nearly every possession ... if he’s your second best player or even your best guard you should be thankful you even got to the playoffs to begin with and didn’t go home in 4...

Manu what says a lot about how fucked Pop and RC has built this team when your second best player is 40 years old. WTF

First 2 games Gay, and in games 3 and 4 he was decent, I kinda say gay even though it was very close between him and Manu. All that said neither of them on a real play-off team should be in consideration for 2nd best player. Maybe for one game in a series do you expect your 40 year hall of fame player to roll back the hands of time for 3 quarters. You can't expect the roster to work if a backside of prime rehab project is looking like your number 2 option. As for Mills yeah he played against a team that was a bad match-up but he's a chucker of a 2 guard in a point guards body. His teammates love him, I am sure he's a good guy he's over paid 3 to 5 mill per year. When he's on that's fine but when he's off it's bad. In theory he should work fine next to Murray, and he can have Manu be the other ball handler on the floor with him but a system offense breaks down with him. Murray isn't comfortable enough with his shot at this level to play big minutes of play-off basketball. Mills doesn't look to get the rest of the team involved. The whole thing isn't ok. Danny isn't looking good even though his ball handling has gotten way better this year I don't think I trust his shot in 210.

Seriously, any damage Mills did during the regular season was completely erased in this series. Everyone saw that he couldn’t guard Klay but they all knew that. He did well and played up his value in a positive way.
