Role players no matter what team they're on, tbh. But letting Belli walk sucked, tbh.

Those role players are better than most of our starters.

All of Dedmon, JSimms, and D. West, are having career highs one way or another!

The truth about Belinelli is that the Spurs would have wanted to keep him but couldn't. Simple as that. He's a starter in any other team.

Besides Kawhi and LMA, our starters are role players too.

Basketball is a team sport and all of those players are imperfect, but able to contribute to a winning team when put in the right position. George Hill for example definitely has his weaknesses as well as gig strengths. Championships are won and lost every year because of the backup players and bench depth. Even a super team like Gokden State needs to get production from their bench.

If you consider that success depends on both #1 having 2-3 superstar players, and #2 having good bench/depth quality, the Spurs had problems in both last year. It's surprising they made the playoffs in a tough conference.

I think they need to replace Green with someone who can score, even if the defense slips. Replace Gasol with a better defensive big. And then there's the Leonard thing.

I guess all these guys just didn't fit in with the culture here like some of the current guys do.

Marco showing all so called spurs shooters how its done.

Marco is an average to poor 3G shooter. His best year was (wasted) '12-'13 when he shot a magnificent 3G 43%.

All other years, he's well under 40%, and it's above 40% where the best shooters live.

Baynes
Would have liked to kept him, However Detroit signed him for 6.6 million and Spurs needed Cap space for Aldridge.
Hill
Should have Kept him. Instead traded for a draft pick....
Marco
Shooting 35% from three in the playoffs for a team about to be swept...

I've said before that I love how C's fans support Baynes. Also, in game 4 of the series I was yelling at the TV after that Sixers' last stupid play that ruined Beli's big-shot.

Once a Spurs, always a Spur.

Love to have baynes back for cheap. Need a good screen and strong dude again. Yeah he isn't a shot blocker but he had toughness.
