SPurs should really look into players that are somewhere between a Boris Diaw & Marco Belinelli..
These 2 players provided SPURS a different type of look and gave us advantages with a lot of off the ball movement. Not mentioning they could shoot.

Nerlens would be a low risk high reward signing, tbh. A little worried that he was munching on hot dogs at halftime of a game though. Athletes with bad diets and San Antonio are a match made in heaven. Then again he was on a team that was purposely trying to lose games.

Hope we take a shot at him.

Ain't nobody going to want to sign with this failing organization living in the past.

Spurs need big time, in addition to White being in the rotation, another guard that can create on his own. That and replace Pau with a big that can defend on the perimeter some even if that means less offense from that C spot.

Presuming Leonard is retained, free agents I could see them being interested in . . .

If Gay opts out and signs elsewhere: Green, Johnson, Carter

If Green opts out and signs elsewhere: Graham, Ennis, Robinson, Bradley, Caldwell-Pope

If Ginobili retires: Evans

If Lauvergne opts out and signs elsewhere: Looney, Len, Nogueira

I could see Will Barton as a target.

Just stop giving out money to average role players. That's all I ask.

If you're looking for a role player this summer, either don't tie up a lot of years ( 1+1 deals), or sign value guys like James Ennis, Glenn Robinson III.

If they start playing smaller again - LMA strictly at Center, more Kawhi/Gay at PF, would you be happy enough with Pau purely as a backup 5. Or is he that far gone?

Gasol is unplayable. He's walking breathing proof that advanced stats, especially on the defensive side, are flaming bags of dog shit created by neckbeards on their free time away from Fortnite.

Depending on price, I could see targets being Bradley, Caldwell pope, hezonja, Len, and Noel.

It all depends on what happens with Kiwi really... until we know... this is all just a browsing section.

If these are the realistic targets: Rudy Gay should #1!

Spurs won't be able to afford anyone good unless they want to be here which I doubt is the case given all the questions with Kawhi, Pop, roster, etc.

Why would any top free agent come to SA?? For the culture?...

Because they are a playoff team even without Kawhi?

I don't see free agents flying to shitty Milwaukee despite them being playoff fodder just like we are.

Unless this is a contender, no player is interested in living in San Antonio. Aldridge didn't even want to sign. He had a hard time deciding between us and the Suns :lol

Man, Lakers have been killing it in free agency the past 5 years! New York too!

Agree 100%

He already took a discount last year. I can see a team like the Lakers throwing a Caldwell-Pope one year stupid contract at him when they strike out with PG13 and Bron.

Bring in Lebron, trade for Embid, Kyrie, and KD. We will be pretty good.

This year's list is terrible for the most part..hopefully they begin rebuilding and use FAgency as an opportunity to find value, rather than signing old, win-now pieces..

If they're serious about attempting to contend for the championship, they have to sign Evans.

He's projected to sign for the MLE. After just signing a 1 year contract, having a career season and going on 29, with an extensive injury history, he's probably looking for a semblance of security (would offer 2 years, with a partial guarantee on the 3rd) and a chance to win. They can not only offer that, but have a bigger need for a play making guard than any other team.

On a related note, would also let Anderson go. Makes no sense to invest probably $6-8M annually on a soft, offensive liability, who can't play next to Murray, wouldn't fit next to Evans or Parker and would block White from a path to the rotation.

They'd be a tad small on the perimeter, but Evans is big enough (6'5'' 220, 6'11.25'' wingspan) to defend as a nominal SF in most cases, not be targeted and switch. Gay, Evans and Paul, would be unappealing secondary James and Durant defenders, but so called stoppers are regularly torched by them anyway. I'd rather they have to defend someone who can create off the dribble as opposed to some middling spot up shooter.

Starters: Aldridge, Leonard, Gasol, Mills, Murray
Bench: Gay, Evans, Parker, White, Bertans
Deep bench: Lauvergne, Forbes, Paul
Inactive/G-League: Brown Jr (18th pick)

I really like KCP. I'd love to take a flyer on him and see what we can do with Nerlens. Nerlens is on a low-note and KCP could probably had for under $10mil.

i like your Roster, i really like Evans, barring injuries he’s a very good player. I Also think mulitinov will be a Nice value for our roster as a backup C.
